The Big Bang Theory is without doubt one of the most iconic ensemble cast series ever created. All the main characters of the nerd-centric comedy are relatable and at the same time quirky as hell. All the storylines explored in the series are either strange and really cringey, or sweet and meaningful. And that’s what makes it brilliant.
The main characters of the series are Howard, Leonard, Sheldon, Raj, and Penny. Later some of the new characters were added to the permanent cast and characters like Amy, Bernadette and Stuart appeared a lot more on the screen.
The most interesting thing though is about Stuart. The actor Kevin Sussman first auditioned for the role of Howard, but ended up being a looner named Stuart whose gig was to be miserable. However, in the episode called The Hofstadter Isotope he successfully hit on Penny and ended up dating her for a moment.

It’s been many weeks since there was any movement on the Shaw Family drama front, but Tracker Season 1 Episode 11 had a nice subplot that answered many questions and finally introduced to someone else in the family.
Colter’s sibling reunion, of course, surrounded a case, but the two opened up a communication line that seemed to have Colter questioning more things about his past.
Before getting into the Colter and Dory stuff, a very twisty and odd case was at the forefront here.
And it was a damn interesting one, with Colter first suspecting a college student may have just bitten off a little more than he could chew and then quickly realizing he’d found himself engaged in some pretty dark stuff.
A college student feeling overwhelmed and wanting to take a break certainly wouldn’t be abnormal. Still, from the sounds of things,...

Senior royal family members are a network of high-ranking members a monarch can rely on to carry out duties for them. Working royals are higher up in the line of ascension than non-working royals. As they work every day to assist Crown Inc., there are questions as to how they are compensated. How much money do senior royals make? How do they get paid?
Personal income and taxpayer money paid senior royals
The number of current working royals under King Charles is less than during Queen Elizabeth’s reign. This stark difference is due to a dwindling pool of senior royal family members and an aging workforce.
The working royals draw on an expense account called The Sovereign Grant, a lump sum paid by the United Kingdom’s government and taxpayers.
The Grant pays for costs associated with official duties such as staff, security, and travel. As of April 2024, the Sovereign Grant was worth $108 million.

True crime genre is getting more and more popular each day and there’s no secret why: gripping stories about things that seem impossible in real life. However, what makes them even more exciting for the viewers is the fact that what is shown on screen has actually happened in reality, and that just makes people lose their minds.
One of the recently released true crime dramas is Netflix’s Baby Reindeer. The miniseries tells the gripping story of the performer Richard Gadd, who at his young age was harassed by a female stalker.
The story is powerful and already got 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, but here we have 5 more jaw-dropping series that follow real-life terrifying stories.
1. When They See Us (2019)
When They See Us is just 3% short of a perfect score, but that means nothing in this case because the series is considered the best true crime of all time.

Margaret Qualley is no longer going to star in Hulu’s limited series about Amanda Knox, Variety has confirmed.
The untitled series was announced in March with Qualley set to star and executive produce. She has reportedly exited the project due to scheduling conflicts. The role will now be recast.
This is not the first time Hulu has lost its lead actress in a limited series based on a real person. Kate McKinnon was once attached to play Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes in what would become “The Dropout,” the role that was eventually played by Amanda Seyfried. Seyfried would go on to win an Emmy for her work on the show.
Hulu has ordered eight one-hour episodes of the show. The official description states that it is “based on the true story of how Knox was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free.

Exclusive: Margaret Qualley has pulled out of playing Amanda Knox in Hulu’s upcoming limited series for scheduling reasons.
Qualley, two-time Emmy nominee for Netflix’s Maid and FX’s Fosse/Verdon, just saw her two upcoming movies, Kinds of Kindness and The Substance, both get selected to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. Recently seen in Poor Things, she is currently filming Honey Don’t! and has other features lined up.
The untitled Hulu limited series from writer Kj Steinberg and 20th Television in association with The Littlefield Company, was officially greenlighted last month with Qualley on board to star and executive produce. The role is now being recast. The development won’t impact production plans as the eight-episode project is scheduled to start filming in October.

Lynne Ramsay’s next film, Die, My Love, is said to be a Sylvia Plath-style tale of grief that will go before cameras later this year.
Lynne Ramsay’s career as a director spans a quarter of a century, yet she only has four films to her name. Still, when those four films are Ratcatcher, Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin and 2017’s You Were Never Really Here, you have the kind of filmography that would make many a filmmaker envious.
Despite not being especially prolific, Ramsay is said to have several projects bubbling away at the minute. We’ve heard in the past that she’s planning to work with Joaquin Phoenix again (following their memorable collaboration in You Were Never Really Here) in Polaris, although its been a couple of years this that story first appeared. Then there’s Stone Mattress, a project featuring Julianne Moore,...

Plot: An ex-homicide detective (Russell Crowe) with memory loss is forced to solve a brutal murder, only to uncover chilling secrets from his forgotten past.
Review: Russell Crowe has been in a bit of a career resurgence lately so I’ve been pretty excited whenever a new film of his releases. No matter the quality of the film, Crowe himself tends to be can’t miss. And that’s usually because he’s playing some eccentric character, that stands out against his more bland surroundings. Thankfully with the likes of Karen Gillan and Tommy Flanagan showing up, Crowe doesn’t have to carry the entire film himself. But I definitely recommend checking your brain at the door.

Marvel‘s first family has finally assembled. Marvel Studios has now officially announced the performers that will be playing The Fantastic Four in the 2025 film of the same name.
Reflecting the importance of this superhero team to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are some big names involved including Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards and Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm. Slightly lesser known but no less interesting are Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) as Ben Grimm.
We’ve got a ways to go before The Fantastic Four premieres on July 25, 2025 so let’s spend some of that time delving deeper into an unheralded member of the film’s cast. We’re speaking, of course, about Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Amanda Seyfried is set to star in Peacock’s limited series adaptation of the Liz Moore novel “Long Bright River,” Variety has learned.
The series is described as a suspense thriller. Per the official logline, the show “tells the story of Mickey (Seyfried), a police officer who patrols a Philadelphia neighborhood hard-hit by the opioid crisis. When a series of murders begins in the neighborhood, Mickey realizes that her personal history might be related to the case.”
Moore is adapting her book for the screen alongside Nikki Toscano, with both also serving as executive producers and Toscano serving as showrunner.
“’Long Bright River’ tells a story about the collective power of an underserved community,” said Moore and Toscano in a joint statement. “We are thrilled that Amanda Seyfried will lead this series about how those initially perceived as victims can band together to regain their power. We all know what happened after 2004’s Mean Girls – Regina became a lacrosse champ, Karen used her psychic boobs to present the morning weather announcements, Gretchen co-opted the Cool Asians, and Cady floated in a newly repaired girl world… while keeping a beady eye on any emerging Young Plastics set to reinstate the old hierarchy. If you’ve turned on a television in 2023, there’s a good chance you’ve encountered a male tech billionaire with a penchant for breaking the rules. On “Succession,” there was Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård), the Swedish maverick who rendered the titular question moot by swallowing Waystar Royco whole. “The Morning Show” featured Paul Marks (Jon Hamm), the aerospace magnate who flirted with both Jennifer Aniston’s Alex Levy and acquiring her employer. FX’s “A Murder at the End of the World” included Andy Ronson (Clive Owen), the mysterious genius whose Icelandic retreat takes a deadly turn.
All these characters are composites, with elements of multiple real-life oligarchs with an outsized influence on world affairs. If you expect the Netflix docuseries “Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul” to be the ultimate takedown of controversial e-cigarettes, think again.
The four-part series, directed by R.J. Cutler and based on Time reporter Jamie Ducharme’s book “Big Vape: The Incendiary Rise of Juul,” examines all the mistakes Juul executives made, including marketing the e-cigarette to millennials. The series also suggests that the product might very well be a better option than conventional cigarettes.
Stanford graduate students and Juul founders Adam Bowen and James Monsee, who did not participate in the series, were on a smoke break when they had an “a-ha” moment. Could they create a nicotine product that was less harmful than cigarettes? Bowen and Monsee wanted to “erase combustible cigarettes from the face of the earth.” The result was Juul, an electronic cigarette startup meant to save lives that came under federal scrutiny for its own health risks.

In the gendered zero-sum game of love, money, and professional success, Chloe Domont’s “Fair Play” is a rallying cry for women in uneven — and downright competitive — romantic relationships with men.
The Sundance breakout film, which Netflix landed in a $20 million deal this January, stars Phoebe Dynevor and Alden Ehrenreich as would-be finance world power couple Emily and Luke. The only issue: They’re both analysts at the same investment firm, and there’s just one project manager job up for the taking. While Luke is rumored to be the replacement, Emily actually lands the promotion, prompting Luke to question his role at the firm and in their bed.

Holmes is behind bars for just over 11 years, while Shah was sentenced to six and a half years in jail in January 2023 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in July 2022.
It was reported in March that she’d had her sentence reduced by one year.

Since “Mamma Mia!” and “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,” Amanda Seyfried has gone from the lighthearted musical world to more serious roles like Elizabeth Holmes in “The Dropout” and Rya Goodwin in “The Crowded Room.” But she wouldn’t be opposed to a third installment in the Greek Isles.
In Vogue’s oral history of the original film, Seyfried said she would do “Mamma Mia 3” for free if she could.
“Nobody is saying no, but nobody is saying yes either. The powers that be probably can’t afford us to be honest. I hate to say it, because would I do ‘Mamma Mia 3’ for free — of course I would — but that’s not the business we’re in. What’s fair is fair, and I feel like a third film is gonna come down to something stupid like whether or not Universal wants to pay the money.”

Exclusive: Fran Drescher is less concerned with a meeting of several showrunners with Writers Guild leadership this week and more concerned with studios and streamers getting back to the bargaining table to make a fair deal.
“The showrunners meeting with the WGA? I don’t know really how that makes me hopeful for the studio CEOs coming to the table,” the recently reelected SAG-AFTRA president told Deadline on Wednesday as she was leaving an L.A. solidarity march and rally outside Paramount Studios.
After an on-off-on-off back and forth over the past few weeks, Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, Fargo’s Noah Hawley and others are set to sit down with the guild negotiating committee Friday at WGA headquarters on Fairfax and 3rd. Always intended as an “information session,” drama around scheduling the meeting has been perceived by some as an attempt by the AMPTP to carve out discord among the scribes and their guild.

Coming out of the public relations week from hell, the studios and streamers are looking for the firm that fought off Pizzagate to help them in the war of words against the striking Writers Guild.
After misreading the room with the release earlier this week of their August 11 proposal to the WGA and the subsequent blowback on August 22 and August 24, the AMPTP has hired crisis-management specialists the Levinson Group, a source close to events told Deadline.
“The studios need better coordination, better messaging in response to the writers and the media,” said an industry vet of the companies that literally own large swaths of the mainstream media. Contacted by Deadline, Levinson declined to comment on her firm’s new role with the AMPTP.

A flattering profile of tech grifter Elizabeth Holmes in the New York Times. The messy exit of Jeff Shell from NBCUniversal. And a standoff with Variety over a story about a supposedly globetrotting Jeff Zucker purportedly hell-bent on buying CNN.
Hollywood and media was buzzing about all those stories and the person they all have in common is crisis public relations expert Risa Heller, who represented the principal in all of them.
That’s all the more impressive for someone who lives on the opposite side of the country. But with her rising West Coast profile, Heller, CEO of an eponymous New York-based crisis communications firm, has tongues wagging about what appears to be a growing role in the Hollywood crisis P.R. machine.

Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes’s prison sentence has been reduced by two years while she is currently serving her sentence for fraud.
Her updated release date is December 29, 2032. She was originally sentenced to 11 years and three months in jail in the Texas prison.
No reason was cited as to why her sentence was reduced, but possible reasons include good behavior, credits earned in programs and activities or completion of programs on substance abuse.
Holmes was found guilty of four counts of wire fraud when she deceived patients and doctors into using her company Theranos, which is now defunct, for blood tests, even though she was aware that the company did not produce accurate results. In addition to this, she was accused of defrauding more than $700 million from her investors with the claims she had made up.

After taking a four-year break, Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror returns this weekend. The creator and writer of Netflix’s Emmy-winning anthology series has been vocal about his reasons for the long wait, saying essentially that the world itself felt too dystopian for his dystopian series.
When announcing its return with season six, releasing Thursday, Brooker said he set out to once again reinvent the series by “deliberately upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect” from a Black Mirror episode. The result is five episodes — “Joan Is Awful” (which centers around a renamed Netflix-like streamer), “Loch Henry,” “Beyond the Sea,” “Mazey Day” and “Demon 79” — that will no doubt continue to subvert audience expectations.
And despite delighting viewers in the past with surprisingly hopeful episodes, like the Emmy-winning “San Junipero,” Brooker says the new installments are… bleak.

Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes's life has changed forever. The former tech entrepreneur was once poised to be the "next Steve Jobs" of healthcare, but in 2022, Holmes was convicted on three charges of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud by lying to investors. This May, she reported to a Texas prison to begin her 11-year, three-month sentence.
But something else that's changed about Holmes since her days as the head of Theranos? Her voice. Hulu's 2022 series "The Dropout" (which stars Amanda Seyfried as Holmes) traces the backstory of the self-made billionaire's distinct baritone voice, which many believe she faked. Those who watched HBO's 2019 documentary "The Inventor" - which details Holmes's troubled history - or other recorded interviews will be familiar with Holmes's oddly deep voice. However, people who knew her before she was in the spotlight say her voice wasn't always like this. While...

Spoiler Alert: This review contains spoilers from “The Crowded Room.”
Over 20 years ago, screenwriter Akiva Goldsman penned the script for “A Beautiful Mind,” the Oscar-winning biopic of mathematician and diagnosed schizophrenic John Nash. To convey Nash’s subjective experience of his condition, “A Beautiful Mind” pulled a bait-and-switch. Early in the film, we meet Nash’s college roommate, who becomes his lifelong friend; later, it’s revealed the roommate was a figment of Nash’s imagination. At the time, the twist was effective enough to earn Goldsman an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
The limited series “The Crowded Room,” created by Goldsman for Apple TV+, attempts the same trick to greatly diminished returns. A simple Wikipedia search shows that “The Crowded Room” was inspired by Billy Milligan, the first defendant acquitted by invoking a case of dissociative identity disorder in the late 1970s. But ahead of the show’s release,...

For Amanda Seyfried, her latest role as an investigator in Apple TV+’s “The Crowded Room” came effortlessly.
The Oscar-nominated actress recently sat down with Et Canada’s Morgan Hoffman, discussing her love for “Dateline” and her natural role as an interrogator with her kids.
When asked if the role of interrogator comes naturally to the star, Seyfried responded with a resounding “yes.”

Seyfried continued voicing excitement about her character on the series, emphasizing that “she’s a mom, and she’s ambitious in her career, and like, she’s making mistakes in front of us and she’s learning from them.

Amanda Seyfried is not a convicted biotech swindler, but she played one on TV. And it just so happened that Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of fraudulent company Theranos who Seyfried portrayed in “The Dropout,” began her 11-year-prison sentence just as Seyfried hit the campaign trail to promote her new Apple TV+ series “The Crowded Room.”
When asked, on “Good Morning America,” if she had any thoughts on the matter, she said, “There’s two kids that are hanging in the balance here. As a parent — just as a mom …” then took a pregnant pause. She then concluded, “Life’s not fair, but in a lot of ways it’s fair. It’s fair for her, in particular.”

Elizabeth Holmes began her 11-year prison sentence on Tuesday, concluding the ex-Theranos founder’s hurtling downfall from leading a heralded blood testing startup to facing multiple charges of fraud. Coincidentally, Amanda Seyfried, who won an Emmy for her portrayal of Holmes in the Hulu limited series “The Dropout,” appeared on “Good Morning America” within hours of Holmes’ arrival, in this instance to promote her new Apple TV+ limited series “The Crowded Room.” In her appearance, Seyfried offered a response to Holmes’ incarceration.

On the same day that Elizabeth Holmes reported to prison in Texas to begin her 11-year sentence, Amanda Seyfried, who played her in the Hulu series “The Dropout,” said that the sentence is “fair” for the convicted Theranos founder.

Elizabeth Holmes, the founder and CEO of failed at-home blood-testing startup Theranos, reported to a Texas prison on May 30 to begin her 11-year, three-month sentence, per The New York Times. Holmes received her prison sentence along with an additional three-year period of supervised release in November 2022, NBC News reported. According to the outlet, Holmes told the court, "I regret my failings with every cell of my body," before receiving her sentence.
Amid her infamous fraud trial, Holmes became the subject of several onscreen projects, including HBO's 2019 documentary "The Inventor" and Hulu's 2022 miniseries starring Amanda Seyfried, "The Dropout." With Theranos's technology, Holmes promised to rapidly conduct hundreds of medical tests with small amounts of blood. After exhausting every possible option, including literally trying to fleeing the country, Elizabeth Holmes is finally serving her 11-year prison sentence for defrauding investors in her blood-testing startup Theranos. Since being found guilty in January 2022, the disgraced CEO has used everything from conviction appeals to her own children to avoid being sent away. Unfortunately for her — and, by extension, her nearly 2-year-old son and 3-month-old daughter — her best efforts still fell short.

Elizabeth Holmes may owe Rupert Murdoch $125 million, but he may not have much luck getting much of his money back.
A federal judge ordered Holmes on Tuesday to pay $452 million to investors she duped to build her hoax blood-testing business. Among the investors she bilked was Murdoch, who was one of Theranos’ largest investors. Holmes, however, has indicated she’s essentially broke.
Murdoch bought roughly 7.3 million shares of Theranos at $17 a share, according to court filings.
In a ruling ordering restitution, U.S. District Judge Edward Davila found that investors’ losses are tied to Holmes’ fraud. “For each of these investors, the Court identified specific reliable evidence indicating that they were induced to invest in Theranos by Defendants’ misrepresentations as part of the fraud conspiracy,” he wrote.

After an explosive election night, lines have been drawn deep in the sand, and our favorite double agent has been forced to show her cards. Shiv (Sarah Snook) has been playing both sides of the fence for the past few episodes, but now that her family has learned about her "business alliance agreement," she is forced to wear her loyalty for Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) like a scarlet letter on her chest. Even though Shiv squandered her upper hand, she clearly doesn't plan to take this lying down — and Team KenRo better watch their back.
Shiv has always struggled with commitment, whether it be to Tom (Matthew Macfadyen), to Waystar, or to her family.

Get ready to see the Prince and Princess of Wales have a bigger media presence. Craig Prescott, a UK Constitutional Law and politics expert with a focus on the monarchy, told Express more TV appearances might be on the way for the couple.
“I think what’s interesting is things like the Earthshot Prize, where you see William doing stuff on television,” he said. “And we saw this with Kate’s Christmas Carol Service — there was something for television.”

Elizabeth Holmes is weighing in on the hoarse, baritone voice and unique persona she’s become so famous for in media portrayals and the public consciousness.
In an in-depth new profile of the embattled tech entrepreneur published by the New York Times on Sunday, Holmes addressed the public persona she’s become famous for — including her black turtleneck sweaters, bright red lipstick and husky, throaty idiosyncratic voice.
According to Holmes, the very things she’s now famous for were actually all an affectation she was putting on in an effort to be taken more seriously when looking for startup capital to fund her now-infamous tech company, Theranos.
Because of this — and her effort to cast off the shackles of her past before putting on actual shackles in her impending prison sentence — Holmes says that she’s not really bothered by several high-profile recent portrayals of her in the media.

Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is separating herself from the fictionalized portrayals of her personal, professional, and criminal life.
Convicted fraudster Holmes gave a controversial interview with The New York Times seemingly as part of a personal rebrand as a new mother of two.
“I made so many mistakes and there was so much I didn’t know and understand, and I feel like when you do it wrong, it’s like you really internalize it in a deep way,” Holmes said of founding Silicon Valley blood-testing company Theranos and infamously channeling Steve Jobs with a deep voice and black turtleneck uniform. “I believed it would be how I would be good at business and taken seriously and not taken as a little girl or a girl who didn’t have good technical ideas. Maybe people picked up on that not being authentic, since it wasn’t.”

The disgraced Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes, who was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison for fraud, is opening up about what she thinks of her Hollywood portrayal.
Holmes, who was inspired by Steve Jobs to wear black turtlenecks as her signature outfit, was personified by Amanda Seyfried in the Hulu limited series The Dropout. However, the convicted former CEO says the actor was not playing her.
“They’re not playing me. They’re playing a character I created,” Holmes told The New York Times in an interview.

Elizabeth Holmes said Amanda Seyfried isn’t really playing her in The Dropout, but rather a “character” she created.
The disgraced Theranos CEO, who was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison, became known for her look and voice, which consisted of red lipstick, a black turtleneck and a distinctive way of speaking — deep and hollow.
During a new interview with The New York Times published online Sunday, Holmes unveiled what the newspaper called her “new persona,” Liz Holmes, who is described as speaking with a soft, “unremarkable voice” and blending in with other mothers.
When talking with the Times about actresses who have or were set to portray her in projects, including Seyfried in Hulu miniseries The Dropout or Jennifer Lawrence, who was slated to play the CEO in Adam McKay’s Bad Blood before departing the film, Holmes said, “They’re not playing me. They’re playing a character I created.

As she stares down the barrel of an 11-year prison sentence, Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes unveiled her new persona — Liz Holmes, the remorseful and soft-spoken mother of two — in an interview with The New York Times.
In the profile, which received backlash online by those critical of the paper’s willingness to give Holmes a platform, the Theranos founder reflected on how the media has portrayed her. Amanda Seyfried won an Emmy for playing Holmes in the Hulu miniseries “The Dropout,” and Jennifer Lawrence was set to embody the same role in a movie directed by Adam McKay. She has since dropped out of the project.
