The survival horror movie is currently filming in French Polynesia, and Variety reports today that Pulsar Content has secured international rights to the upcoming film.
“Pulsar Content will be launching international sales at Toronto,” the site notes.
Variety also reports, “Pacific Fear will launch in France in early 2024 on the pay TV Ocs.”
The film follows a group of surfer friends looking out for waves in a mysterious island that’s been erased from all maps.

In the run up to MipTV, TF1 Group has acquired a trio of premium original French series, “I Killed My Husband,” “Marion” and “Elle’s Kitchen” for second-window rights from Paris-based TV sales banner Have A Good One (Hago).”
“I Killed My Husband,” which is produced by Henri Debeurme’s Next Episode with Hago, stars Erika Sainte (“Les Rivières Pourpres”) as a woman who’s been wrongly accused of murdering her husband. The series premiered on 13eme Rue in November and played at La Rochelle Fiction Festival.

Film distributor and production house Samuel Goldwyn Films has just announced a release date for the horror thriller Play or Die. Taking a note from the escape room phenomenon, Play or Die will show on digital platforms, this Summer. Play or Die is a film from director Jacques Kluger and this title was shot in Belgium. In the film, there are two rules. When either one is broken, a character will perish in this isolated locale.
