Last night, April 22, 2019, The Voice 2019 Live Cross Battles took place for 8 pairs of singers from Team Kelly Clarkson, Team Blake Shelton, Team Adam Levine and Team John Legend. Afterwards, the viewing audience got to vote for who won each of the Live battles. Tonight,April 23, 2019, the results were revealed. John and Kelly both had "saves" available, and Blake had one steal he could use. The season 2017 "The Voice" champ Brynn Cartelli kicked off the show with a new performance. Right after that, they got right down to business with the results. Lb from Team Adam and Jej Vinson from Team Kelly were up first, and it was revealed that the viewing audience voted for Jej to win. That meant poor Lb lost and was eliminated. Lb said, "It was a pleasure, and I'm thankful." Next, they brought on Kendra Checketts from Team Adam and Jimmy Mowery from Team John Legend for their results.

Knowing that The Voice would be eliminating five singers in Tuesday’s second (and final) Live Cross Battles Results Show, I made a few fearless predictions before Season 16’s Top 24 were revealed. Thinking over Monday’s performances, and considering the results of TVLine’s poll, I figured that the contestants who’d be losing their Battles would be Team Adam’s Lb Crew, Team Legend’s Julian King, Team Legend’s Jacob Maxwell, Team Kelly’s The Bundys, Team Blake’s Karly Moreno, Team Legend’s Jimmy Mowery, Team Legend’s Beth Griffith-Manley and Team Kelly’s Abby Kasch.

With five of the eight available Steals/Saves already used, the contestants relegated to Night 2 of The Voice’s Live Cross Battles really had to bring it… that, or bring a bag for their trips home. But, based on the sound and pitch problems — so many pitch problems! — that were on display a week prior, I wasn’t terribly optimistic. Which singers rose to the occasion, and which sounded like they’d be among the unlucky five eliminated Tuesday? Read on…

Season 16 of “The Voice” just wrapped four nights of battles and all four coaches now have their initial teams of eight. During Monday’s episode of “The Voice” battle rounds, coach Adam Levine pitted Celia Babini against Karly Moreno in an impressive sing-off to Marshmello & Anne-Marie‘s “Friends.” In the end Adam decided to advance Celia to the next round, perhaps because he previously told her it was his “dream” for her to win, which meant Karly was up for grabs for the other three coaches. While Kelly Clarkson and John Legend remained silent, Blake Shelton pushed his “Steal” button at the last moment. Watch “The Voice” battle above.

“Blake, can I just say one thing? Dude, you’re awesome,” Adam told his rival coach of 16 seasons after he stole Karly. “I don’t even know what’s going on. I don’t even know who I am right now.

Monday’s Night 2 of The Voice’s Battles couldn’t come fast enough to put behind us the “Oh, come on!” of Season 16’s first missteps by the coaches. And while the gaffes might not have been as egregious as Adam Levine throwing DeAndre Nico under the bus to champion inconsistent-at-best Reagan Strange in Season 15, I think we can all agree that (a) Kelly Clarkson messed up by pitting standout Mikaela Astel against her trio, The Bundys, and (b) her colleagues messed up by not stealing the superlative teen. For that matter, I couldn’t believe that Team John’s...

The Battle Round continued on NBC's The Voice on Monday night. Coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson have tapped celebrity mentors Charlie Puth, Brooks and Dunn, Khalid and Kelsea Ballerini for this round.
The first Battle of the night came from Team Adam. Karly Moreno and Celia Babini went head-to-head, singing “Friends” by Marshmello. Levine and Puth worked with them on blending in rehearsal.
In their performance, the artists harmonized well and both showcased indie singer-songwriter vibes with a lot of style. They worked together well, and it really sounded like a duet, leaving Levine ...

In the very first match-up for “The Voice” battle rounds, coach John Legend had two of his four-chair artists — Shawn Sounds and Matthew Johnson — face off against each other. Even the other coaches Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton couldn’t believe such a rookie mistake. Most battles feature the weaker competitors versus the stronger ones. Will Legend continue to make poor moves during his first season as a coach?
Night 2 of battle rounds continue this Monday as advisors Charlie Puth (Team Adam), Khalid (Team John), Kelsea Ballerini (Team Kelly) and Brooks and Dunn (Team Blake) continue their roles. This two-hour episode airs on NBC and is the only one for this week. The show returns for Night 3 on Monday, April 8.

Now that “The Voice” Season 16 blind auditions are a thing of the past, let’s take a closer look at how each of the coaches fared in terms of scoring the artists they wanted. This season’s blinds were split up over six episodes, with Adam Levine, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton all eventually adding a total of 12 singers to their teams. When more than one coach turned their chairs around for an artist they wanted, things got competitive as they fought over who’d be the better mentor. That’s where Adam truly excelled. In fact, thanks to his savvy pitches he was able to acquire 60% of the artists that he pushed his button for in Season 16.

Before Monday’s Night 3 of The Voice’s Season 16 Blind Auditions, we’d been introduced to a duo (that was sent to The Comeback Stage), a trio (that was recruited by Blake Shelton), a one-woman party machine (Team Blake’s Kim Cherry) and a singer whose soulful vocals were so old-school raw, they could’ve been accompanied by the sound of a needle dragging across vinyl (Domenic Haynes, who, heaven help him, joined Team Adam Levine). But had we met any serious contenders yet? Maybe Team John Legend’s Maelyn Jarmon, whose sublime take on Sting left me buzzing, or Matthew Johnson,...

Kelly Clarkson has not lost yet as a coach on “The Voice.” She joined the Emmy-winning program last spring for Season 14 and prevailed right away. She then took home the coaching trophy for the most recent Season 15. Has she already landed the right artist to win Season 16 or will she find that singer on Night 3 for the blind auditions on Monday?
She is facing off against brand new coach John Legend, who has already been a big favorite for contenders. In fact, Clarkson, six-time winning coach Blake Shelton and three-time champ Adam Levine have each used their blocks on him, preventing him from obtaining artists he really wanted.
All throughout this season, we will continue our tradition of updating live blogs while each episode is airing for the east and central time zones. Follow along below and keep refreshing during the two hours. Make your own comments about which artists...
