As James Moran takes his story of a scary shed to Horror Channel FrighFest, he tells us how it came about...
After a lot of blood, sweat and tears (mostly blood) our new short film, Blood Shed, is unleashed on an unsuspecting Horror Channel FrightFest audience this month. The story of one man’s love for his shed, which eats people, it’s a horror comedy inspired by Creepshow, starring Shaun Dooley and Sally Phillips.
People have asked how we brought this unique monster tale to life, and the answer is... slowly, with guts, and lots of planning (and blood, don't forget the blood). Ahead of its world premiere this weekend, here's how we brought our evil shed to life.

We at ScreenAnarchy, and I expect many of our readers, are big fans of James Moran, screenwriter of Severance, Cockneys vs Zombies, Tower Block, and episodes of Doctor Who and Torchwood. Now, he is joining forces with his equally talented partner Cat Davies (writer/director of shorts Keen-Wah and Connie), and they are bringing us a new horror-comedy, Blood Shed! Jack loves a bargain. And he loves sheds. When he buys suspiciously cheap second-hand parts online to build his very own dream shed, he and long-suffering wife Helen find they’ve got more than they bargained for: a killer shed with an appetite for blood. As the body count rises, and the shed’s ferocious...

We’re just a few weeks away from London’s Horror Channel FrightFest and the lineup has today been bolstered by a captivating selection of shorts. Over three days a total of 26 of these films will play to the horror loving FrightFest crowd, many of them World, UK or European premieres. There’s also work from journalist and film critic...
