If recent reports are to be believed, there’s a very good reason that Joss Whedon received a screenwriting credit on Justice League.
Ever since the two-time Avengers director agreed to shepherd Jl over the finish line, there have been rumblings of extensive reshoots and “significant” changes being made to the film’s story, which Whedon helped “fine-tune” with co-writer and all-around DC mainstay Chris Terrio.
Now, we’re learning a little more about what exactly Joss Whedon tinkered with. The latest report, which comes to us by way of Mark Hughes from Superhero News, claims that the director has written close to “two dozen pages of new material.” Not only that, but he’s also cut a few characters and scenes. There’s no word on who or what’s been scrapped, but previous rumors have pointed to both Lex Luthor and Deathstroke being left on the cutting room floor.

It seems that we will not be getting any DC films without a ton of negative speculation ahead of them. Recently, we had heard that Ben Affleck was no longer going to play Batman and that his film was not going to be part of the Dceu (though at least one of those was since reported to be untrue). Justice League has had it's own set of rumors as well, from changing the tone of certain characters to changing the ending completely. But thanks to Mark Hughes on Superhero News (via ScreenRant) we have some clarification on the the rumors of the "re-shoots" and the most important thing to note is that Justice League is still following the plans of Zack Snyder, and not being overhauled by Joss Whedon.
One of the biggest rumors that has been circling the internet is that the film was basically shot twice, and this...

As Warner Bros. continues to future-proof its prized Dceu with Joker origin stories and spinoffs featuring Jared Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime and his muse, Harley Quinn, the Justice League are quietly waiting for their time in the limelight.
Truth be told, it’s been a long, meandering journey to release. Back when the crossover project was first conceived, the Powers That Be over at Warner Bros. envisioned Justice League as a two-part epic – not unlike Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled sequel, which is currently shooting scenes in Atlanta – before it was announced that Zack Snyder’s ensemble piece would be consolidated into a single movie.
That was before the director stepped away from the Dceu to tend to a personal tragedy, leaving the door open for two-time Avengers helmer Joss Whedon. It’s a switcheroo that sparked heated debate online, though many of Justice League‘s leading...

Right now, Warner Bros. is riding high on the success of Wonder Woman, and by all means, they should be. After getting slammed in 2016 for their two entries in the DC Extended Universe, many fans and critics seemed ready to follow suit with Wonder Woman. Luckily for the studio — and luckily for us — the film turned out to be a damn good entry, and the narrative seems to have been shifted to a more hopeful one for this universe.
And yet, there does seem to be this feeling that we’re at some sort of stalemate with DC Films. Yes, they’ve announced a Ton of films: Nightwing, Batgirl, Gotham City Sirens, Wonder Woman 2, Suicide Squad 2, The Batman — none of which were on their original slate of movies several years back. And yet, while they keep dropping film titles like nobody’s business, we still don’t quite know the...

“Wonder Woman” is stunning critics, who are calling the film “electrifying” and a “breathtaking cinematic achievement” that makes it “one of the best superhero movies of all time.” The film starring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 96 percent — that’s 52 “fresh” reviews, with only 2 “rotten.” “Amazing performances, pulse-pounding action, and outstanding visuals make it one of the best superhero movies of all time,” Forbes’ Mark Hughes wrote, while The Associated Press’ Lindsey Bahr added “it’s enough to give you goosebumps.” Also Read: 'Wonder Woman' Review: Gal Gadot's Amazon...

Richard Jewell. Mark Hughes. And now Abu Izzadeen. The number of people wrongly accused in terror attacks is long, and results from what one falsely accused man says is a failure by the news media to “verify before you vilify.” After London’s horrific terror attack Wednesday, several media outlets rushed to identify Abu Izzadeen as the man behind them. But others said he had a solid alibi: He’s behind bars for an unrelated offense. If he wasn’t involved, Abu Izzadeen will join a long line of people who have been falsely accused. Here are some others. Richard Jewell...

Let's call it a Battle of The Sources and, for once, we at Lrm get to join you in the audience as it rages on.
A few days ago, confidential sources told Forbes that The Batman was possibly on its way towards a page one rewrite. Last night, sources told Variety that there's actually already a script that Ben Affleck and the studio are quite high on.
Hold the phone!!
Where did this come from?? We have no idea. For months, Affleck has been saying in interviews that the script isn't ready, even going so far as to say on January 1st that the movie has no script. That's what made the Forbes report, which also confirmed that Chris Terrio had completed a rewrite, seem entirely believable. Then, suddenly, Variety reporter Justin Kroll tweeted this out last night:

Things continue to be not so good on the DC Extended Universe front. While 2016 seemed like the year the films would finally take shape (several years after the world famous Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked off), it ended up as the year where its best laid plans seemed to fall apart.
Batman v Superman didn’t perform nearly as well as the studio had hoped, and the criticism it received prompted them to have the next film on their slate, Suicide Squad, undergo a series of edits. While a lot of fans enjoyed the cut that came to theaters — as evidenced by the box office receipts — it was even less well received than Batman v Superman, and seemed like an unhealthy and unnecessary overreaction to audience’s complaints.
Things didn’t get much better. While their next films, Wonder Woman and Justice League seemed to hit the ground with little problem,...

Funny how the news of Ben Affleck's departure from the director's chair for The Batman has already become quite well-trod territory, despite the story only breaking last night. So I will spare you a recap of what's gone on. You can check out The Affleck Dossier for that. Instead, let's talk about what else may be in the cards for The Batman.
While Affleck was very adamant that he was going to stay on as the producer and star of The Batman, we mustn't forget that he was equally adamant that he was directing the movie when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live mere weeks ago. So this has people wondering the next big question:
Will Affleck Drop Out Of Playing Batman As Well?!?
Something you've got to understand is that whispers of his departure as director of The Batman have been going around for quite some time. Several...

A flood of first reaction reviews for Marvel's Doctor Strange has hit the internet, and it sounds like Marvel fans are in for something pretty incredible! There is a lot of praise for the crazy psychedelic visual effects, the characters, the uniqueness of the film and how it brings something fresh to the McU. You can read through the reviews below. They've definitely managed to get me even more pumped up about seeing this movie! I didn't think that was possible, but with everyone talking about how awesome it is, how can I not be more excited?!
It has also been confirmed that there will be two post-credits scenes teasing the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Below the reactions I included a new clip from the film called "Heal the Body" that introduces Strange to the astral form. It's an extension of what we've seen in the trailer of...
