Justice League Dark, DC Comics’ coterie of macabre heroes, has long been on the DC Extended Universe docket in multiple forms, having spent years as a movie project before being put into development this past April as a television series for HBO Max. Now, an interesting artifact has emerged from one of its canceled movie iterations in the form of concept art revealing a aesthetic for team member Swamp Thing.
Concept artist Houston Sharp posted his planned designs for Swamp Thing that he worked on with David Masson for the version of Justice League Dark that was to be directed by Doug Liman. As you can see in the dramatically fire-strewn image, seen in full below, the classic character was to manifest in the ensemble film in a form that radically differs from any version we’ve seen—at least in the live-action adaptation arena. However, the skinny, tree-branch-riddled reinvented...

“Dark Phoenix” is already disappearing from movie theaters after a few weeks because of its dismal box office performance, but the debut of new concept art photos are revealing part of the movie fans never got to see. Much of the film’s behind-the-scenes troubles have been well documented, including a drastic overhaul of the film’s third act in reshoots, and the images released by concept artist Houston Sharp detail what would’ve been Sophie Turner’s appearance in the original ending.
Sharp has served as a concept artist on several major studio tentpoles over the last several years, including “Wonder Woman” and its upcoming sequel “Wonder Woman 1984,” “Tomb Raider,” “Rampage,” and Dwayne Johnson’s “Jungle Cruise.” For “Dark Phoenix,” Sharp and the creative team were planning for an ending where Turner’s Jean Grey resembled the fiery look of the character from the comic books. “Dark Phoenix...

From TheGoodTheBadandTheUgly.Ca, take a look @ 'the good, the bad and the ugly' in director Patty Jenkins' comic book adaptation "Wonder Woman", starring Gal Gadot as 'Diana Of Themyscira':
Michael Stevens For The Good:
"'Merciful Minerva', it is true that many of us were rooting for dimpled Audrey Hepburn look-alike Gal Gadot, to give us a decent portrayal, in her first stand-alone 'Wonder Woman' feature...
"...after her exciting tease in 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice'.
"And Gadot does not disappoint, delivering the goods as a sweet and sexy, smirking action star...
"...in a 'girl power' film about 'love and compassion'...
"...despite piles of fresh-killed, lantern-jawed Ww I 'enemy' corpses, dying in a cold blue 'No Man's Land'...
...looking more like 'Saving Private Ryan', than the world of Lynda Carter.
"But Gadot makes the most of what she's got, with great leaps and bounds.

Sneak Peek recently released images from director Patty Jenkins' "Wonder Woman", showcasing the 'history' oil paintings animated for the film, illustrated by team leader Houston Sharp, with Igor Sid, Piotr Jablonski, Yuriy Chemezov, Roman Kupriyanov, Eve Ventrue, Max Schulz, Didier Konings and Raffy Ochoa:
"I had the pleasure and honor of working with Patty Jenkins and her team to create the animated painting at the beginning of 'Wonder Woman'", said Sharp.
"It was a huge undertaking, but I had a small team of super-talented artists to help finish it on time, and Patty & Co. were very supportive along the way.
"Each panel was painted separately, and stitched together into one massive painting. We tried achieving a classical oil painting look...
