Exclusive: Mike Goodridge’s growing UK production company Good Chaos, which is in Cannes with Un Certain Regard title Santosh, has had a minority equity investment from Cameron Lamb’s Paris-based audio platform Alexander.
The investment will give Alexander an opportunity to develop its growing non-fiction IP library, across film and TV formats, while Good Chaos has been able to grow its headcount, operations and production reach.
The companies’ first joint film project is Wife, Witch, Poisoner, Whore, a period thriller based on the Alexander audiobook by Katherine Rundell, and narrated by Helena Bonham Carter.
The official synopsis reads: “Beautiful, rich, clever, and determined English noblewoman Frances Howard was a dazzling celebrity at the court of James I. But when the unhappy teenage bride rebelled against the patriarchy of her day, she was put on trial for witchcraft, infidelity and murder – very nearly at the expense of her life.”

Newsletter hub beehiiv is recruiting creators. After raising a $12.5 million Series A in 2023, the three-year-old platform has hired Twitter and Andreessen Horowitz vet Katherine Rundell, who has been put in charge of beehiiv’s creator outreach unit.
Rundell’s official title is VP of Creators. Since joining beehiiv at the start of the year, she has led a team that forges partnerships with big-name talent. Those creators are given guidance as they author and distribute newsletters through beehiiv. Their multimedia updates for subscribers are part of a growing beehiiv operation that includes one billion emails sent out each month.
The creators who have teamed with beehiiv include creatory economy experts Colin & Samir (pictured above), who have brought their Publish Press newsletter to the platform. Other partners include Peloton VP of Fitness Programming Robin Arzón and former Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger. (Full disclosure: Tubefilter also distributes its daily newsletter through beehiiv.)

Twitter-owned Niche, which has connected 50,000 digital influencers with brands for sponsored programming since its acquisition in 2015, is giving a handful of notable Twitter video personalities more creative control with an initiative dubbed Creator Originals.
Rather than tapping creators to develop branded videos driven by advertiser briefs, Creator Originals will initially enable several former Vine luminaries -- including Josh Peck, Sara Hopkins, Matt Cutshall, Aaron Chewning, and Miel Bredouw -- to develop non-branded shows that marketers can sponsor via in-stream (or pre-roll) ads.
“We’re now enabling creators to produce the kind of content that they want,” Niche’s head of U.S. content strategy, Katherine Rundell, tells Tubefilter, "and giving brands the opportunity to tie into projects with a longer shelf life.” Wendy’s will serve as the launch sponsor for Creator Originals, which Twitter unveiled at its second annual NewFronts presentation this evening.
