Basse started off strong. She received a safe score from the judges in the first challenge, “Project Redemption,” when the designers had to reinvent a look that got them a low score — or eliminated — in the past. Basse started the season off on the right note, getting a safe score from the judges in the first challenge, “Project Redemption,” when the designers had to reinvent a look that got them their lowest score in the past. But it looked like her journey might come to a screeching halt the very next week in “Toying with Fashion.” That was the unconventional materials challenge in which she had to create a playful look using toys gathered from Fao Schwarz.

“It’s anybody’s game,” said Dmitry Sholokhov at the beginning of the “Project Runway All Stars” season finale. He had won the show twice before and was going for an unprecedented three-peat, but this season of “All Stars” featured nothing but past champions, so he was up against fellow Us winners Michelle Lesniak and Irina Shabayeva as well as Canadian “Runway” victor Evan Biddell. Who was named the “Runway” world champion at the end of the night?
The episode got off to an exciting start with the announcement of the final challenge. After weeks of unique, innovative and highly specific design tasks that ran the gamut from airplane materials to Willy Wonka inventions, the designers had no rules at all for their finale collections. Their mission was to take four days and a $3,000 budget to create six-look collections inspired by whatever theme they wanted. Essentially, their design objective could...

Erin Robertson, the founder of Ta-Ta Towels, is featured on the latest episode of Shark Tank where she asks the sharks for $200,000 in funding in return for 10 per cent equity. Ta-Ta Towels are specially designed bras made from towel-like material and are meant to help women who suffer from boob sweat. Even though the sharks initially laugh at the concept, women who have big breasts often struggle with not only sweat but also with rashes that can happen during hot summers due to moisture. Robertson explains that the product idea came from herself after she was preparing to […]

As Project Runway concludes its 16th season, it’s not uncommon to find yourself disagreeing with the judges’ final pick. I still think last season’s winner, Erin Robertson, was more of a stylist than a visionary, someone who really knew her way around a glue gun. But what makes this year’s finale unique is that, even…

Project Runway Season 15 winner Erin Robertson has slammed the way parts of the show were edited — saying she and others were portrayed unfairly. The designer says in this week’s reunion special that she believes she and others were made to look bad. Erin’s comments came after Tim asked her and Dexter how they felt when he used his save to keep Cornelius in the running earlier in the competition. She says: “I definitely have issues with the way that the whole episode was portrayed. It was hurtful, because I thought we were having fun.” Asked if it was edited...read more...

Michael Kors returns to Project Runway this week — as a guest-judge on the first part of the Season 15 finale.
