[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Found Season 1 Episode 11 “Missing While Interracial.”] After Gabi (Shanola Hampton) and Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) wrestled for control for most of the first season of Found, the NBC drama just took it away from both of them in the last episode of 2023. With two episodes remaining from Season 1 (it’s already been renewed), Gabi learned that Sir was telling the truth and didn’t kill Annie — though he did threaten her, and that’s why she never came back to help the kidnapped teen (A’Zaria Carter) — and slipped up by referring to him in the present tense to Trent (Brett Dalton). Then, in front of Sir, she called someone and told that person to come over and it was about Sir. After that, Sir is the least in control we’ve seen him, Gosselaar confirmed. “That’s the moment where he’s worried about the future of this relationship,” he told TV Insider.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Found Season 1 Episode 10, “Missing While Indoctrinated.”] Did Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) kill the one person who could have helped Gabi back when he was holding her in the farmhouse? According to him, in the latest episode of Found, no. As seen in flashbacks, another one of Sir’s students, Stephanie “Annie” Lopez, saw Gabi in the farmhouse and said she’d come back for her. Then, Sir showed Gabi a red ribbon, matching the one in Annie’s hair, and said he stopped her from ruining their life. When Gabi, in the present-day as she keeps Sir chained in her basement, confronts him in “Missing While Indoctrinated,” promising to find where he buried Annie, he insists that he didn’t kill her. Should we believe him? “I don’t know that you should, but speaking with the showrunner, Nkechi Okoro Carroll, I don’...

“All them pro-lifers only be pro-life ’til the baby be born,” quips Mercedes (Brandee Evans) as she ushers her pregnant 14-year-old daughter, Terricka (Azaria Carter), past fuming protesters at the only abortion clinic in all of Mississippi. A crowd spewing forth hatred and judgmental prayer while holding Black Lives Matter signs flanks an entrance that, for this little Black girl, feels an ocean away. It is a walk of hope made shameful, and until recently, a path toward choice. On July 6, 2022, the only abortion clinic in Mississippi closed its doors in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, putting a woman’s once constitutional right to an abortion in the hands of 50 states.
As true to life as the vignette above feels, it is actually a truthful lie — as all art is. Pulled from the...

"P-Valley" season two is proving there are critical stories to be told both inside and outside of The Pynk. This week, amid a trip to Jackson, Ms, the show breaks down a new wall in Mercedes (Brandee Evans) and Terricka's (A'zaria Carter) mother-daughter relationship after the latter finds herself grappling with an unplanned pregnancy. The show ventures into new territory with an episode that fearlessly explores reproductive rights, accessible healthcare, and a person's right to have agency over their own body.
"It was an opportune moment to really lay out specifically what a woman, a young woman, has to go through when this decision is put into her hands."
