The Killer by Jae-Hoon Choi, a 2022 film, centers around Bang Ui Gang (Jang Hyuk), a real estate worker who’s actually a former hitman. He left that life years ago, but circumstances led him back to it. Here’s the deal: Bang’s wife leaves him to care for her friend’s 17-year-old daughter, Kim Yun Ji (Seo-young Lee), while they go on vacation. Bang isn’t exactly father material, and he’s never had those instincts before. But as he looks after Kim Yun Ji, something changes. He starts to care for her deeply, feeling a growing love and a need to protect her. Why and how does this happen? While spending time with Kim, he sees she’s getting mixed up with the wrong crowd, and he can’t stand by and watch her get hurt. Now, will Bang be able to save her and get revenge on those causing trouble?...

The Killer is a South Korean action thriller movie directed by Jae-Hoon Choi. It stars Jang Hyuk yu.
Merciless action.
Premise
A retired hitman whose wife goes on a trip with her friend, and asks him to look after the friend’s teenage daughter. Things go awry when he is forced to use a little violence to protect the girl from juvenile delinquents, but then they are found dead and the girl is kidnapped.
About the Movie
A “recipe” that worked well – very well – a few years back, and that, applying the same premise and an almost identical character, keeps on repeating itself movie after movie. The elements are there, with the good action sequences, the heroic character, but it not new. However, of what you seek if just raw action this might be to your liking.

UK festival recently moved online-only due to virus crisis.
The Glasgow Film Festival (Gff) has revealed the programme for its 2021 edition (Feb 24-March 7), which includes several award-winning festival favourites and a focus on South Korea.
The 17th edition of Gff, which recently announced it would shift online-only due to the ongoing virus crisis, includes six world premieres, two European premieres and 49 UK premieres – around a third of the event’s usual programme of 180 titles.
However, Gff co-directors Allison Gardner and Allan Hunter said the reduced number of slots had forced them to raise the bar for selection and produce a stronger programme as a result.
