“Project Runway” has been stuck on the Emmy runway for far too long.
It’s been nominated for Best Reality-Competition Program consecutively for the 13 years since it debuted on TV, but it’s been forced to step back year after year for winners in that category with slicker production values and heart-swelling songs (“The Voice” won 4 times), etc. Victories by “The Voice” are particularly noteworthy since they occurred over the past 5 years; the last 3 victories were consecutive.
Now “The Voice” seems unstoppable much like “Amazing Race” once outran all rivals in the old days. Over the past 15 years of this category’s existence, those two programs have hogged the winners’ circle with only one exception: “Top Chef” had the secret recipe for a shockeroo in 2010.
But that means more upsets are possible – so the Emmy hopes of “Project Runway” remain alive. It’s already won two Emmys in other categories in the past.

Anthony Williams won season six of “Project Runway All Stars” on April 5. He had contended on season seven of the main show but only made it to fifth place then. His win got us to wondering whatever happened to the designer who was crowned the winner of that edition of “Project Runway” as well as those who have walked away with the title in the other 15 seasons to date presided over by Emmy winners Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn.
The lucky seventh winner of “Project Runway” was Seth Aaron Henderson, who went on to win again in the third season of “Project Runway All Stars.” Two other winners of the original show — Dmitry Sholokhov (season 10), and Dom Streater (season 12) — prevailed again in seasons four and five of the “All Star” version.

Anthony Williams is starting to look unstoppable in season six of “Project Runway All Stars.” Based on the combined predictions of the “Runway” fans we poll every week, Williams gets leading odds of 21/20 to win the season. And since consistency is key in this design competition, it gives Williams a crucial leg up that he’s the last contestant remaining who hasn’t received a single low score from the judges.
Going into the most recent episode, “A Kick in the Astro,” Williams hadn’t designed a single look that put him in the judges’ bottom three, and neither had his rivals Joshua McKinley, Fabio Costa or Kimberly Goldson. But that avant garde challenge changed that completely. Goldson was eliminated, while McKinley and Costa joined her among the judges’ least favorite looks. And not only did Williams avoid the judges’ ire, he also got high marks for the challenge. That...

Friendly warning: This article mentions the winner of Project Runway Season 16. If you haven’t watched the finale yet, turn back now!
Kentaro Kameyama is giving “brother” Brandon Kee a run for his money as the most laid-back contestant of Project Runway‘s 16th season.
Speaking with TVLine just hours after being crowned this season’s winner, the designer said he was fully prepared to not emerge victorious — and he would have been fine with that outcome.
“I wasn’t sure if the judges were going to understand my art and my point of view, so I was Ok not...

Spoilers Ahead! The winner of Project Runway Season 16 was finally revealed in the finale last night — and it wasn’t who the public expected. Brandon Kee was a stand-out contestant on Project Runway ever since the start of the show’s sixteenth season back in August. He was easily the favorite to win going into the season finale after repeatedly producing the goods, and being the only contestant to come out top in challenges in three separate weeks. He was only one of only two designers — along with Ayana Ife — never to appear in the bottom three. But who is Brandon and how did he get so good at fashion? The 24-year-old has previously told how he has known he wanted to be a...read more...
