Jahkil Naeem Jackson is a best-selling author, social entrepreneur, student athlete, influencer and founder of Project I Am, a nonprofit organization he created when he was eight years old. Now 15, Jahkil has a heartfelt desire to help those in need. Jahkil's mission is to build awareness of homelessness and to help the homeless population by offering "Blessing Bags," a giveaway filled with masks, wipes, socks, deodorant, hand sanitizer, and more. In just a few years, Jahkil's efforts have empowered hundreds of young people to become change agents and has led Project I Am's efforts in raising $400,000 for the homeless. Additionally, Jahkil's efforts have touched over 90,000 men, women and children across the world. Along with the help of friends and family, Jahkil has organized distribution to those in need in Chicago, Los Angeles, Oklahoma, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Virginia, Idaho and more. He has also provided items of support to orphans in Mbabane, Swaziland and Ghana as well as volcano victims in Guatemala, and hurricane survivors in the Bahamas, Florida, Houston and Puerto Rico.
Jahkil was acknowledged as one of three influential people of 2017 by President Barack Obama, was named one of BET's 15 under 15, was also tapped to participate Disney's Be Inspired Black History Campaign, Lebron James' #AlwaysBelieve 2018 campaign and is now a Marvel Super Hero and CNN Hero Young Wonder!
Jahkil is one very busy 15-year-old. When he isn't hard at work distributing Blessing Bags for his International organization Project I Am, he can be found on the basketball court, on the tap dance floor, in a break-dancing circle or in front of the camera introducing GAP's new global teen line and making his national television debut on NBC's Chicago P.D.. Jahkil can also be seen in Nike's Can't Stop Our Voice, Air Max and Until We All Win campaign, Kid Footlocker's Jordan Rival campaign and as a principal dancer in a K-Mart's commercial.
