Zayn has shared a new single, “Better,” the first track from his upcoming album. Although the former One Direction member has not revealed many details on his third LP, it will be “his most personal project to date,” he says.
“Better” comes with a short video directed by Ryan Hope, which sees Zayn being spied on by nefarious characters in a Cold War-era house. Granted, the whole video is voyeuristic — it opens with a shot of Zayn’s shirtless, tattooed torso, followed by slow-motion close-ups of the pop star as...

Zayn Malik just dropped his first solo single in two years, and wow, it was certainly worth the wait. On Friday, the singer released "Better" alongside a laid-back music video featuring a shirtless Zayn with newly dyed red hair. The soothing R&b melody is grown and sexy, with lyrics about love and heartbreak, while showing off the former boy bander's smooth vocals.
The singer debuted his sophomore album, Icarus Falls, in December 2018, and he's kept a pretty low profile since - though he has gifted fans with a few collaborations, like the revamp of the Aladdin classic "A Whole New World" with Zhavia Ward, Shaed's "Trampoline" remix, and "Flames" with R3hab and Jungleboi.
The release of "Better" comes just two days after Zayn and partner Gigi Hadid announced the birth of their first child together. Zayn broke the news on Twitter, sharing a photo of him holding the baby girl's tiny hand.

Rising DC trio Shaed have re-released their hit “Trampoline.” Zayn joins vocalist Chelsea Lee, transforming the dark synth-pop track into a duet.
Shaed’s “Trampoline” first gained traction late last year when it appeared in a MacBook Air ad. The duet version with Zayn remains faithful to the original, now with the former One Direction member trading lines with Lee throughout the moody track. “Trampoline” details a nightmare in which the narrator accepts the feeling of dread and drowning as something warmer and more welcoming than it seems.

We've been havin' dreams...of a new Zayn Malik collaboration—and here it is. It's been almost a year since the 26-year-old One Direction alum dropped his second studio album, Icarus Falls, back in December 2018.While the star has mostly kept out of the spotlight over the past nine months, he did pop up on the Aladdin soundtrack in May for a modern rendition of "A Whole New World" featuring Zhavia Ward. Now, Malik has added his signature sound to a remix of Shaed's hit track, "Trampoline," which first debuted last June. On Monday, the singer teased something was underway when he simply tweeted, "Trampoline."...

Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of Aladdin is already pretty different from the tried-and-true animation, but so far it hasn't steered us wrong. We've come around to Will Smith's personal spin on our favorite blue Genie, and we are definitely all-in for the new Jafar, so now it's obviously time for us to hear how the movie's soundtrack will get an update.
"A Whole New World" is arguably one of the best songs on the original Aladdin soundtrack (which is difficult to say since they're all amazing), and Disney has done it justice by tapping award-winning singer/songwriter Zayn and upcoming artist Zhavia Ward to perform the updated rendition of the Oscar and Grammy-winning duet. Those runs? Magnificent. Those vocal harmonies? Brb, I'm playing it again just to bask in their glory.

Take a look, if you will, at the brand new video Zayn and a female duet partner star in for the theme from “Five Hundred Fifty Shades Darker” … sorry, Disney’s live-action remake of “Aladdin.” The kind of woozy arrangement they’ve come up with for the classic “A Whole New World” sounds like it’d be at least as suitable for a blue movie as a romp about a blue guy. Which is maybe why the two stars aren’t allowed to get together on screen: Would it get too E. L. James-ian, if they did?
Zayn pairs up here with Zhavia Ward, because in securing talent for the tune, they started at the end of the alphabet and didn’t work frontward. Or maybe because someone realized that, as cute couples go, these two are destined to have the greatest monogrammed towels ever, if Zorro doesn’t make...

A new sneak peek from Disney’s upcoming live-action Aladdin adaptation teases one of the beloved songs from the 1992 original, “A Whole New World.”
“You should see these places,” Aladdin (Mena Massoud) tells Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott) in the clip. “I mean, there’s a whole world outside of books and maps. Do you want to?”
When Jasmine explains that every door to her palace is guarded, Aladdin — who’s posing as Prince Ali — offers another way out.

Zayn Malik and Zhavia Ward have teamed up for a duet on “A Whole New World,” which will be featured in Disney’s upcoming Aladdin remake. Sadly, the video features no magic carpet ride.

Aladdin‘s classic song “A Whole New World” gets a major makeover courtesy of Disney’s live-action remake and the voices of Zayn and Zhavia Ward, who’ve joined to sing the track for the film’s soundtrack.
On Thursday, Disney dropped the music video for the reimagined ballad, which sees the two singers wander a number of locations at night, but never actually interact.
For the 1992 original, Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle performed a duet of the song for the hit soundtrack.
The remake, directed by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes), stars Will Smith as the Genie who grants wishes to the titular hero.

Your wish has just been granted. Zayn Malik and Zhavia Ward dropped their cover of "A Whole New World" on Thursday in celebration of Disney's live-action remake of Aladdin. While the two didn't sing the beloved tune on a magic carpet ride over Agrabah, they did perform the duet in New York. The song is set to play in the new film's end credits. The music video was directed by Philip Andelman, who's also worked with artists like Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, and the song was produced by Saltwives aka Alex Oriet and David Phelan. "The selection of artists, producer and tonal direction was critical for the success of updating a classic song like this,"...

Singer Zayn Malik has sung "A whole new world" for the live-action movie version of Disney classic "Aladdin", and fans want him as a hero.
Disney has released a new cover version of the iconic song "A whole new world", performed by Zayn and Zhavia Ward.
The track is due to play over the end titles according to the video on Vevo, so does not feature during the film, reports mirror.co.uk.
The music video depicts Zayn and Zhavia looking wistful in a number of moodily lit locations, but never actually sharing a scene together.
It got a big reaction on social media. Most fans on Twitter adored the version and even liked the idea of Zayn playing Aladdin himself.
One fan said: "Zayn should've been given the Aladdin role, I said what I said"
Another commented: "They should've just made Zayn Aladdin but whatever."

French Montana mixes the macabre and the stylish with his video for new single “Slide,” featuring Blueface and Tjay. The clip, which Montana directed with Spiff TV, finds the rappers hanging out in a warehouse filled with colorful fog, hydraulic-lifted cars and dancers decked out in vintage suits and psychedelic skull masks inspired by Mexico’s Day of the Dead holiday.

Social media sensation Cameron Dallas has signed a recording contract in partnership with Columbia, Variety has learned. A top influencer, the 23-year-old boasts 20.8 million followers on Instagram, 16.5 million on Twitter and 5.7 million subscribers on YouTube and starred in the 2016 Netflix series “Chasing Cameron.”
As recently as last week, Dallas was spotted on the Los Angeles campus of Sony Music, of which Columbia Records is a subsidiary. Meetings with label brass about the direction of his music were on the agenda, according to sources.
A California native, Dallas first came to prominence in 2012 on Vine and eventually grew a following that landed him among the top stars of the now defunct Twitter platform. On Instagram, he currently holds an A grade and is ranked 93rd by social media metrics site Social Blade.

Built-in followings are hard to come by, so it’s no wonder Zhavia Ward, the standout finalist from Fox show “The Four: Battle for Stardom,” got herself a recording contract. What is surprising, however, is that it’s not with Republic Records.
The Universal Music Group label had first dibs on any singer who competed on the show, which aired in January, according to insiders. The season 1 winner, Evvie McKinney, received a record deal with Republic (home to The Weeknd and Ariana Grande) and a partnership with iHeartRadio, whose “On the Verge” program provides swift national exposure to millions of listeners.
But Ward, who went by simply Zhavia on the show, has signed to Records, a joint venture with Sony Music, through its Columbia label . Multiple sources tell Variety that Republic, which is run by founders Monte and Avery Lipman, passed on Ward, while Columbia Records chairman/CEO Ron Perry was waiting in the wings.

Fox’s singing competition “The Four” is in dire need of a shake-up following the ouster of judge Charlie Walk over allegations of inappropriate behavior. Well, 38% of fans who voted in our recent poll believe that Ariana Grande is exactly the kind of “dangerous woman” that this reality TV show should “focus” on. Do You agree that Grande should join “The Four” judges? Give us your thoughts down below.
This multiple Grammy nominee got her start on TV before becoming a worldwide music sensation, so the thought of her returning to her television roots isn’t too much out of the question. Assuming that the other three judges — Sean Combs, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor — all come back, Grande would fit in nicely with this group of music superstars.

Assuming that the other three judges — Sean Combs, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor — all come back, Grande would fit in nicely with this group of music superstars.

We’d love to see a female powerhouse take over for Walk, since his alleged mistreatment of women is what resulted in his ouster from “The Four: Battle for Stardom.” Artists like Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga would be perfect, not just because of their raw talent, but for the way they’d no...

“The most coveted seat in the industry” was up for grabs on Thursday’s season finale of Fox’s The Four — and I’m not talking about the one left vacant by fired judge Charlie Walk.
Speaking of that guy we can all go back to not knowing, his absence was briefly addressed at the top of the finale, with host Fergie simply saying, “As you can see, we’re without one of our panelists tonight. Charlie Walk will not be attending tonight’s finale.” (Confused? Click here for some important context!)

‘The Four’: Who will win the Feb. 8 final – Candice Boyd, Vincint Cannady, Evvie McKinney or Zhavia?
The finale of “The Four” airs on Fox this Thursday (Feb. 8). The final four singers hoping to be named iHeartRadio’s “On the Verge” artist are Candice Boyd, Vincint Cannady, Evvie McKinney and Zhavia. The winner will also be signed to Republic Records. That label’s head honcho, Charlie Walk, was a judge on the first five episodes this new reality competition series but he stepped aside in the wake of allegations of inappropriate behavior.
Walk was seen alongside rival judges Sean Combs, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor on the Feb. 1 pre-taped episode. They, along with the studio audience, set this surprising line-up for the finale. None of the eventual four finalists started off this week five show with a spot. Rather, each won a place in the final when they challenged one of the four favorites and beat them in a sing-off.

“The Four” finale is set to air on Fox this Thursday (Feb. 8). Four artists — Candice Boyd, Vincint Cannady, Evvie McKinney and Zhavia — will sing one final time to try and win over the studio audience and claim the title of iHeartRadio’s “On the Verge” artist. The winner will also be signed to a deal with Republic Records. However, that label’s executive Charlie Walk, who was a judge on the first five episodes of the show, has stepped aside in the wake of allegations of inappropriate behavior.
Walk did appear alongside Sean Combs, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor on the pre-taped fifth episode, which aired on Feb. 1 and set the line-up for the finale. None of the eventual four finalists started off that show with a seat. Rather, each successfully challenged one of the four favorites and won the right to bounce them from their place in the final.
