According to the producers, ‘Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3’ will have a bigger budget than the previous films and will introduce new characters from the original Winnie-the-Pooh stories, including Rabbit, the heffalumps and the woozles. All will no doubt be given sadistic, murderous twists.
The news comes with ‘Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2’ now in U.S. cinemas as part of its 3-day theatrical run via Fathom Events, and just over a year after the release of the first of what is now a quick-fire three-part franchise.

Warner Bros. is doubling down on the business of Timothée Chalamet. The studio signed a multi-year feature film deal with the actor to collaborate on future projects as a star and producer.
Chalamet led back-to-back box office hits for Warner Bros. with last December’s “Wonka” ($632 million globally) and this March’s “Dune: Part Two” ($575 million globally and counting). Florence Pugh is back on a Marvel set. The actress shared a behind-the-scenes tour of the Atlanta set where she is currently filming the upcoming Thunderbolts on Wednesday.
“Hey guys, how are you doing? I know I’ve dropped off for a little bit, but that’s partially because I was whisked off to Atlanta to shoot a movie that I’m not really supposed to talk about,” Pugh said in a video posted to Instagram. “But I can show you things, sneakily, as long as you don’t tell anyone…I can show you a sneak peek of the set.”
Pugh plays assassin Yelena Belova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her character first appeared in 2021’s Black Widow and later in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
In her video, Pugh appears in costume, lifting the camera to show off Yelena’s suit and then moving to reveal several of the structures under construction for Thunderbolts.

Almost a decade ago, in 2015, it was announced that a Sister Act remake was in the works. However, fast-forward five years to 2020, and with Whoopi Goldberg showing interest in reprising her role as Deloris Wilson, Disney opted for a sequel, Sister Act 3, as a direct to streaming movie for Disney+ in December 2020. In the years that have followed, the presumed sequel has been stuck in production limbo without gaining much needed traction. Despite its slow pace, however, Goldberg says Sister Act 3 is still in the works!

Is Whoopi Goldberg returning to Star Trek? Her The View co-host Joy Behar seems to think so, at least. As captured by Twitter user Kyle Arking, during an appearance by Zoe Saldaña and director Marco Perego on the talk show to discuss their upcoming film The Absence of Eden, the conversation turned to the latest announcement of a fourth Star Trek film starring Saldaña and her crewmates from the 2009 J.J. Abrams reboot film. Saldaña was asked if she had any updates herself, prompting Behar to advise Goldberg "don't tip your hand yet" and not to "let them know you got the job". Saldaña was enthusiastic about the prospect of Goldberg's return to the role of Guinan, but for her part, Goldberg denied everything.

It’s no secret that Lucasfilm, in recent years, hasn’t had an exceptional batting average regarding films announced and projects made. The list of “Star Wars” films and series announced in recent years that haven’t come to pass is too long to list but includes an unrealized new trilogy from Rian Johnson, a movie from Taika Waiti that may or may not get made, “Rangers Of The Republic,” a still-unmade “Lando” series, Patty Jenkins’ “Rogue Squadron” (which may have some life in it still) and an unproduced trilogy by the creators of “Game Of Thrones.”

Many legendary animators and artists have worked at Disney over the years, such as Ub Iwerks, the co-creator of Mickey Mouse. However, the most famous animators have to be the Nine Old Men. Nicknamed after Franklin D. Roosevelt's comment about his nine Supreme Court Justices, these men were trained on Disney's Silly Symphony cartoons before working on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. They would become Disney's main core animators up to The Rescuers, and in 1989, were all named Disney Legends.

Lizzy Caplan is an actress who can be thrown into any genre, as she will always find her footing, and the ability to flourish in that role. She is incredibly versatile, transitioning from comedy roles in Mean Girls and Party Down to drama TV shows like Fleishman Is in Trouble and Master of Sex, both of which earned her Emmy nominations. Whatever the genre or medium, you can always be assured that Caplan will turn in an enthralling performance. One genre we don't see her in too often is horror. While the found footage monster movie, Cloverfield, was one of her first Hollywood mainstream films, Caplan is not an actor whom you would consider synonymous with spooky tales. However, Caplan's role as Carol in last year's Cobweb might carve out a path to more horror in her future.

“We Were the Lucky Ones” has its warning built into the title. The Hulu series based on the book by Georgia Hunter and adapted by Erica Lipez is about how one family survived and separated during the Holocaust, all of it underscored by that title — this is what they went through, the horror they witnessed and endured, the sadness that befell them, and they were lucky.
The series kicks off in Radom, Poland before the War, with the Kurc family: Siblings Halina (Joey King), Addy (Logan Lerman), Genec (Henry Lloyd-Hughes), Jakub (Amit Rahav), and Mila (Hadas Yaron) — and their parents, Sol (Lior Ashkenazi) and Nechuma (Robin Weigert). The Kurcs are close-knit, their home echoing with overlapping voices and laughter at the holidays, and they already feel the pangs of missing Addy, who lives in Paris.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey was one of the worst films released last year. A mind-numbingly boring film that was poorly made in every way, it coasted on the idea of doing disturbing things to a beloved property that was now in the public domain. Blood and Honey couldn’t even come close to so-bad-it’s-good territory, as writer-director Rhys Frake-Waterfield took an idea that theoretically could’ve had potential and squandered it to make a terrible slasher film that cost only $100,000. It was filmed over ten days and truly felt like it.

You may be thinking, “Wait, what’s wrong with that? Don’t we all only like doing what we want?” Sure we do. Except, not really, and not in the way Carmichael means here. He’s saying he doesn’t like doing things for other people. Like, at all. He doesn’t want to drive you to the airport. He doesn’t want to let you crash at his place for a few weeks. He doesn’t want to do the things friends are expected to do simply because it helps someone they care about.

Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender has been the subject of its fair share of discourse, but Ian Ousley has an interesting perspective. The actor who plays Sokka recently explained how he feels about changing the character from animation to live-action. Nickelodeon’s fantasy series about the master of all four elements has been a beloved source of entertainment since its premiere in 2005. Aang (Zach Tyler Eisen), along with brother-sister duo Katara (Mae Whitman) and Sokka (Jack De Sena), travel the world in a coming-of-age story that is as humorous as it is emotionally resonant. Both Godzilla and Kong are characters that have existed for the better part of a century, with dozens of films under their combined belts. For the most part, these franchises can be broken down into two categories. One is films that attempt to explore deeper issues or themes under the guise of a monster movie, like 1933’s King Kong, 1954’s Godzilla, or last year’s Godzilla Minus One. The other sillier category relies on just watching these gargantuan creatures fight each other for little reason other than that it’s sort of fun to watch giants cause massive destruction and get into large-scale brawls.

The King of the Monsters is standing taller than ever since he became a surprise Oscar-winner earlier this month, but filmdom’s most famous kaiju isn’t about to let his newfound prestige get the better of him. Anyone worried that Godzilla might pull an Adam McKay and make a sudden pivot towards self-importance will be delighted to find that “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” eagerly strips both of its namesakes of whatever seriousness they might have accrued over the years, even if that means stripping them of their souls along with it.
Don’t be confused by the multiplication suggested by the silent “x” in its title: This goofy-ass, clumsily assembled Saturday morning cartoon of a movie might as well be called “Godzilla Minus Everything,” if only because the more accurate “Godzilla Minus Everything Plus Dan Stevens in a Hawaiian Shirt” wouldn’t fit on a marquee.

Vertical has acquired U.S. rights to “Bucky F*cking Dent,” a father-son story set against the 1978 Red Sox vs. Yankees pennant race.

The film is produced by Yale Productions’ Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman, as well as Duchovny.

The film follows Ted (Marshall-Green), a failed writer-turned-Yankees Stadium peanut seller who moves back home after learning of the failing health of his Red Sox-obsessed father, Marty (David Duchovny). While...

Adam Wingard's "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" isn't so much a feature film as it is a Joycean stream-of-consciousness ramble escaped from the mind of a sugared-up eight-year-old, his tongue stained with the remnants of Blue Raspberry Warheads, slamming action figures together, roaring to himself in destructive ecstasy. Whereas Wingard's previous Godzilla film -- 2021's "Godzilla vs. Kong" -- brilliantly embraced the inherent silliness of the monsters' late-'60s Toho entries, "New Empire" tilts full-bore into the realm of Saturday morning cartoons, presenting a brazenly toyetic and visually wild romp that will crack even the hardest of hearts. "Godzilla x Kong" may make a viewer measurably dumber, but golly, that viewer will be entertained.
"Godzilla x Kong" moves so fast as to make one dizzy, and the visuals are so busy that a large caffeinated beverage may be required to keep up. The film climaxes with multiple monsters,...

The utterly convoluted lengths filmmakers will go to contrive some excuse to make monsters fight has become exasperating. Moreover, the unique paradox at the heart of Legendary’s Monsterverse series continues. Much like “Godzilla Vs. Kong,” also directed by Adam Wingard, the sequel, “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” faces many of the same fundamental problems, and these franchise filmmakers haven’t all addressed the issues, nor even seem to see them as such.

While Ridley Scott's historical epic Napoleon stormed its way into theaters in 2023, it was far from Scott's first take on a powerful figure's life story. A historical epic is nothing new for Scott, with movies such as Exodus: Gods and Kings and Kingdom of Heaven already under his belt, but did you know that there was once a time when Ridley Scott was hired to direct a very different kind of biopic? That's right, during its initial development hell, producer Leonardo DiCaprio hired Scott to direct what later became Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street.

Will obsession lead to destruction or success? It’s a question that one persistent detective faces in Prime Video’s “Them: The Scare.” The series’ second season focuses on LA during a pivotal point in its history — the ’90s. Creator, executive producer, and showrunner Little Marvin found the location’s turbulent decade to be the perfect pairing for horror. “With ‘Them: The Scare,’ we wanted to combine our love of horror with a look at Los Angeles’s rich history and evolution,” he said.

Italy’s Indiana Production – which is part of pan-European studio Vuelta Group – is making a significant move into the comedy space by forging a multi-picture deal and a creative collaboration pact with multihyphenate Gennaro Nunziante who has directed top local hits including “Quo Vado” that is the country’s all-time highest grosser.
Nunziante – who is a writer/director and sometimes actor – and Indiana are jointly mounting a pipeline of theatrical movies with smart storylines rooted in present-day social issues that, at least in some cases, will seek to travel outside Italy.
The Indiana comedies strand being shepherded by Nunziante, has two lines of development. One dedicated to established talents, the other to discovering and nurturing up-and-coming comics, including from the stand-up sphere, as well as young comedy writers and creators.
New Italian comedy talents they have recruited comprise the Milan-based comedy group Contenuti Zero who have a broad TV and social media fanbase.

Heartstopper has featured several iconic scenes, but when Nick comes out to his mom as being bisexual, it has to be one of the best. The scene was impactful thanks to the careful manner in which the topic was handled, but some thanks are in order for the actors. Kit Connor and Olivia Colman have played the Nelsons for two seasons, and they made that scene what it is. It is only natural that fans would want more of their dynamic. Unfortunately, Colman won't be in the much-anticipated third season of Heartstopper, she revealed in an interview with Forbes. In an apologetic tone, Colman revealed that she simply couldn't fit filming into her schedule, no matter how much she wanted to do it.

Robert Downey Jr. may newly be wearing the title of Oscar winner, but the “Oppenheimer” star is shedding all semblance of self for Park Chan-wook’s “The Sympathizer.”
Downey is a chameleon in multiple roles for the HBO seven-episode limited series, co-showrun by Park and Don McKellar who both executive produce. “The Sympathizer” is based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name and is at once an espionage thriller and cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy (Hoa Xuande) during the final days of the Vietnam War. As he starts his new life as a refugee in Los Angeles he learns that his spying days aren’t over.
“The Sympathizer” cast also includes Sandra Oh, Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Phanxine, Vy Le, Ky Duyen, Kieu Chinh, Duy Nguyen, and Alan Trong. The series is a co-production between A24 and HBO,...

The nepo-baby conversation isn't going anywhere in Hollywood, no matter how much the privileged children of the wealthy and elite wish that it would. Recently, when asked in an interview about the nepo-baby discourse that surrounds her, actor Dakota Johnson, daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, said that when she first heard the conversation was happening she found it "incredibly annoying and boring." She continued to say that journalists should find "something else" to write about. Of course, she also admits that when her dad cut her off financially in a bid to force her to "make it on her own" in Hollywood, she would still turn to her mother for financial assistance, saying, "She was the nice one." And herein lies the incredibly frustrating conundrum with nepo-babies who refuse to acknowledge their privilege while denigrating the term. It takes a certain cognitive dissonance to at once say she...

As one of the greatest masters of cinema, it's hard to imagine Akira Kurosawa struggling to gather funds to produce another masterpiece. The visually striking auteur built a magnificent film career where he could blossom his genius painting talent into gorgeous tragedies that no filmmaker could replicate. Kurosawa directed one movie almost every year, turning out big successes like Ikiru (1952), Seven Samurai (1954), and Yojimbo (1961). But when the early 70s came along, Japan's most celebrated director lost favor with the younger generation, as the TV industry and monster flicks were on the rise, and financial trouble started pale Kurosawa's career.

Grey’s Anatomy’s latest season marks its 20-year anniversary. The ten-episode batch will be the shortest since Season 1, but it’s still bound to pack some punches. Blasts from the past are already assured with the return of Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) and Nico Kim (Alex Landi), who have been absent since Season 14 and Season 18, respectively. But 20 years are easier said than done and — to truly celebrate the event — the show should go further back in time and bring in a doctor from the show’s earliest days.
