Angelina And Billy Bob Adopt Cambodian Child
Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton have realized their parenting dreams by adopting a Cambodian baby boy. The Hollywood couple took charge of their new son over the weekend, according to Jolie's father, Jon Voigt. Speaking at the Academy Awards luncheon in Los Angeles, Voigt said, "They got a baby yesterday. He's a Cambodian baby boy. They don't have a name for him yet. They have to see who he is. So I'm a grandfather today." However, Voight's announcement comes as some surprise as Jolie was quoted on March 10th as saying she had not spoken to her father since they finished filming 2001's Tomb Raider together.

Samantha Mumba is so elated with the success of her new movie The Time Machine, she already has her eye on Sir Anthony Hopkins and Wesley Snipes as her next co-stars. The Irish beauty, 19, plays Mara, Guy Pearce's tour guide after he blasts himself 800,000 years into the future in the flick, which shot straight to the top of the American box office since opening last Friday. And now the singer has her hopes set on repeating her movie chart victory with a few more A-list leading men. She says, "I absolutely admire Anthony Hopkins. I'd love to be in a film with him. I felt quite sorry for him in Hannibal because he was sweet in that one - he was absolutely in love with Clarice." She adds, "I'd love to do a real action-packed movie with Wesley Snipes. I think we'd kick a** together."
Ryan To Sell Marital Home

Actress Meg Ryan is selling her New York home with ex-husband Dennis Quaid - whom she left after an affair with Russell Crowe. The When Harry Met Sally star has put the Fifth Avenue residence on the market for $6.3 million - more than double what she and fellow actor Quaid paid for it five years ago. Ryan had attempted to sell the property after her divorce last Summer, but her prospective buyer pulled out after the September 11th terrorist attacks on the city.
Crowe Wanted For Hughes Role
Russell Crowe's fiery passion for poetry is standing him in good stead for a new movie role - as British Poet Laureate Ted Hughes. British director Alison Owen was impressed by the Gladiator star's outburst after the recent BAFTA awards in London, when a poem he read as part of his Best Actor acceptance speech was cut from the broadcast. Owen now wants Crowe to star as the late Hughes in her forthcoming biopic about the writer's wife, and also celebrated poet, Sylvia Plath.
Cruise In Gear For Car Movie
Tom Cruise is to get behind the wheel of a racing car again in a remake of cult classic Death Race 2000. The 39-year-old, who met his future wife Nicole Kidman whilst making 1990 racing movie Days Of Thunder, will produce and star in "Death Race 3000", a re-working of the 1975 B-Movie starring David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone. Director Paul Anderson says, "Tom plays Frankenstein, the best driver in the world. But he has that nickname because he's been in so many crashes. He's a little bit beat up. He's a little bit reckless."
Crowe Gives It All To Directors

Actor Russell Crowe is convinced his skills are limitless - and he's proven it to his directors. Crowe found making The Insider with Michael Mann a tedious experience because of Mann's perfectionism - but the director soon changed his tune, Crowe claims, when he realized what a skilled performer he had to work with. Crowe says, "I remember, the first shot we did was of me walking through a doorway. Seventeen takes it took. And two days later we re-shot it. "I was like, 'Michael, don't spend the first ten takes looking at the f***ing shadow on the wall. Don't waste this stuff, because I'm working from take one. I don't need a warm-up.' "I think I actually loosened him up a little, because later he said of me, 'Alright, you've got the best Ferrari on the market. So what are you gonna do? Are you gonna leave it in the garage or are you gonna get in and drive it?'" Crowe experienced the same thing with Ridley Scott whilst making Gladiator. He explains, "When Ridley realized just how much he could get from me, he was like, 'Whoa...!' "He realized that he could have as much fun with me as he wanted, because there's no level of anything that I can't do. There's nothing I can't do."
Dame Judi To Take Time Off

Oscar-winning actress Judi Dench is planning to take time off from her hectic movie schedule - so she can finally grieve for her late husband. The Iris star admits she hadn't intended to immerse herself in work after the tragic loss of long-time love Michael Williams, a Shakespearean actor who died of lung cancer in January 2001. Dench, who is nominated for an Oscar for Iris and has also appeared in The Shipping News, says she took on several projects because an actors' strike appeared likely last year, and she hoped to finish them before it happened. She explains, "My agent asked was I sure about it, with only one or two days between each thing, and crossing the Atlantic? And I said, 'Yes, absolutely.' "But now I'm going to have a bit of a rest and come face to face with it all."
Harrison Ford "New Jack Nicholson"

Aging movie legend Harrison Ford is being hailed as the new Jack Nicholson after dating a host of women half his age. The 59-year-old has been involved with 30-year-old Minnie Driver and 31-year-old Lara Flynn Boyle - a former squeeze of Nicholson - and is now reported to be embarking on a fling with Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart, 37. Friends believe the star is making up for lost time after his 17-year marriage to screenwriter Melissa Mathison ended last year. Air Force One co-star Wendy Crewson says of the hunky actor, "He's got the devil in his eyes. You don't see that impishness on screen but he's got a wild side."
Sadie Frost Warned Of "Cruz Curse"

Actress Sadie Frost has been warned that sultry star Penelope Cruz carries a "Cruz curse" that could destroy her marriage to Jude Law. Cruz is set to star alongside the hunky Brit in upcoming flick Diary Of A Young London Physician. And American columnist Gayle Gee has warned Frost that when male actors star alongside the Latina lovely, their relationship usually ends in tears. Gee says, "Co-starring with Penelope has been hazardous to actor's love lives. "Need we remind you that Matt Damon and Winona Ryder called it quits after he filmed All The Pretty Horses with Cruz?" As a final warning, Gee points out, "And then there's Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman who split after Vanilla Sky. Cruz went on to become Tom's girlfriend."
