Cyrus & Bell Dominate Kids Choice Awards
Miley Cyrus and Drake Bell reigned supreme at the 21st Annual Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday, scooping two prizes apiece. Hannah Montana star Cyrus, 15, took the favorite TV actress and favorite female singer gongs on a night that saw Harrison Ford, Cameron Diaz and Orlando Bloom drenched in green slime - as part of the ceremony's traditional ritual. Heartthrob Bell picked up two prizes - favorite TV actor and favorite TV show for his sitcom Drake And Josh - at the Pauley Pavilion event, which was hosted by funnyman Jack Black. One of the biggest prizes of the night, the "Wannabe" award for a celebrity who acts as a good role model for children, went to actress Cameron Diaz. She used the honor to promote environmental issues, telling the young audience, "You're going to change the world. Every one of you kids is the future - go out and make the world a better place." Prior to the event, rumors began to surface that Britney Spears was lining up a surprise appearance at the ceremony. However, the rumors failed to materialize. Other big awards went to Johnny Depp, for favorite movie actor; Jessica Alba, for favorite movie actress; Chris Brown, for favorite male singer; and The Jonas Brothers, for favorite group. Supermodel Heidi Klum was in the thick of the action, flying from the roof on a bungee cord and popping balloons en route to ground level. Jack Black told the crowd over 88 million votes had been registered for the 2008 ceremony - more than twice last year's record-breaking 40 million. The night ended with Black and Bloom swinging in mid-air and being drenched in what the School Of Rock star claimed was "27 million gallons" of green slime.
Myers Upsets Hindu Community

Actor Mike Myers has sparked controversy in Hindu communities for "lampooning" the religion in his new movie The Love Guru. The 44-year-old plays Guru Pitka in the upcoming film and repeats the mantra of Mariska Hargitay - inspired by the American actress - as his calming technique. But Hindu leader Rajan Zed has accused Myers of stereotyping the culture, adding the movie "appears to be lampooning Hinduism and Hindus." Studio Paramount Pictures has agreed to a preview of the movie for Hindu leaders prior to its release. A spokesman says, " Love Guru, which is not yet complete, is a satire created in the same spirit as Austin Powers. It is our full intention to screen the film for Rajan Zed and other Hindu leaders once it is ready."
Holmes "In Talks" for Broadway Debut
Katie Holmes' representative has played down reports the actress is heading to Broadway, New York, to star in family drama All My Sons. The Pieces Of April actress is said to be in final negotiations to join John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest in Arthur Miller's post-World War II show, with British newspaper reports claiming she has signed on to begin in May. Back in January Holmes spoke of her desire to appear on Broadway: "There's nothing concrete. I've always had that fantasy when I was growing up, to be on Broadway." However, Holmes' spokesperson insists that although the star is in talks with All My Sons producers to make her professional stage debut, "nothing is Set."
Crawford & Underwood Split?

Former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood has reportedly split from her actor boyfriend Chace Crawford. The couple has been dating since last summer but did not go public with their romance until October. And now U.S. magazine Us Weekly is reporting that the pair has decided to separate. Underwood's representative was not available for comment, while Crawford's declined making a statement. Gossip Girl star Crawford was recently forced to deny rumors of a romance with former 'N Sync star JC Chasez - insisting, "For the record, we're both straight. We're not dating "
Swayze's Rep Blasts Ailing Woman's Cancer Site
Patrick Swayze's representative has blasted an Indiana family for illegally using the actor's likeness in an online campaign, which calls for new cancer treatments to be made available in the U.S. The Loughmans of Indianapolis launched their new initiative on Monday in a desperate bid to find a cure for the family matriarch, who ironically is a big fan of the ailing Ghost star. Connie Loughman was diagnosed with deadly pancreatic cancer last summer, just months before Swayze was diagnosed. As part of their public campaign to force U.S. medical bosses to make the treatment possible, the Loughman family has launched the website CureConnieAndPatrick.com - which uses the actor's name and photo to promote the cause. The site features information about Connie's struggle with the illness, and prompts people to leave messages of support for the Ghost actor. But Swayze's spokesperson is angry the star has been directly linked to the campaign without the Loughmans seeking his consent, according to TheCelebrityTruth.com. The representative says, "Patrick is not aware of this website, and he has no association with it or the medication it advertises. He is not affiliated with the woman from the site; Patrick had no knowledge of her."
Rihanna and Brown Walk Alone
Rihanna and Chris Brown used the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards to end rumors they are dating - by walking up the event's orange carpet separately. R&B star Brown - who scooped the favorite male singer prize at the Los Angeles ceremony on Saturday - kept his distance from the "Umbrella" beauty as they waved to fans outside the Pauley Pavilion. The pair has been at the center of speculation since they were photographed frolicking in a Jamaican swimming pool together last month. They further fuelled rumors earlier this month after they were photographed leaving a London hotel together. However, Brown is sick of the claims, and told reporters on Saturday, "We're not in a relationship or anything," before making his way inside the slime-filled ceremony.
Minogue Is Not Engaged
Kylie Minogue will not announce her engagement to on/off lover Olivier Martinez during a live concert, according to the event's organizers. Media outlets in the Czech Republic have been speculating the hitmaker will announce the news at a concert in Prague on May 12 - because she asked for an "unusually high" number of tickets for family and friends. However, concert organizer Jarda Hainzel insists she has been misquoted. She says, "When contacted by local media regarding the Kylie concert in Prague, I commented that the number of requests for tickets for this show was more than normal, which I take as an indication of Kylie's popularity in Czech Republic. At no stage did I speculate on Kylie's personal relationships or on any announcement she may or may not make on the night. We do believe this will be a special show, as it is Kylie's first concert in our country, and I am very much looking forward to meeting her, however we have no reason to believe there is to be any special announcement during the concert."
Madonna's Daughter Wants To Protect Spears

Pop superstar Madonna wants the media to stop targeting troubled singer Britney Spears - because her daughter Lourdes feels sorry for her. The Evita star - who famously kissed Spears during a performance at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards - admits her 11-year-old daughter has been distressed by her public downfall. She says, "(The media) need to step off. For real... Let's go save her. (Lourdes) knows Britney, but she doesn't really watch TV or read gossip stuff. I think she sort of gets the drift of what's going on, and I think she feels very protective of Britney." Earlier this year, Spears lost the right to visit her sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, last month after a breakdown at her Beverly Hills home. She has also spent time in a rehabilitation centre and has been plagued by driving offences.
Sturgess Couldn't Get Arrested in Las Vegas
Across The Universe star Jim Sturgess desperately tried to get arrested in Las Vegas, so he could fully experience the risky life of a card counter for his new gambling film 21. The Brit plays a mathematics whiz kid who joins a gang of figures-smart youths who team up to win big in Sin City. Sturgess and his co-stars trained with real-life Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) card counters and top gamblers for the new Kevin Spacey film - but he couldn't get arrested. He explains, "We would mess around at the tables pulling our ears, scratching our noses and make out like we were counting cards, hoping we would get caught. But we were only playing with five dollar chips so it wasn't very impressive." Sturgess insists he couldn't be a real-life card counter because he doesn't have the mathematical skills. He adds, "I'd sit down at the (poker) table, apologize for being English and not having a clue how to play the game. I became as confident as you see in the film but unfortunately I don't have the mathematical ability to count cards and win any kind of money."
Morton "Stalker" Cleared

A man has been cleared of harassing actress Samantha Morton - but ordered to stay away from the star. Noel Watts, 42, was said to have imagined a "fantasy relationship" with the In America star, after becoming infatuated with her when he began dating one of her friends in the 1990s. During the trial, Morton told the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court how Watts bombarded her agent with "angry" letters, calls and texts declaring his love for her. Watts escaped the harassment charge, because Morton only ever received one text message. However, he was given a restraining order to stop him from contacting her. But Watts was convicted of harassing Morton's agent Nicola Van Gelden after "frightening" her with texts and phone calls meant for the star. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison for this offence, but will not serve as he has already spent 62 days on remand.
