Campbell Arrested for Police Assault

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer at London's Heathrow Airport. The catwalk beauty, who is known for her fiery temper, allegedly had to be escorted from a British Airways plane on Thursday afternoon after being aggressive and abusive to staff. According to reports, Campbell spat at an officer and was handcuffed as she left the aircraft, which had yet to take off from the airport's new Terminal 5 building. The incident was allegedly sparked by an issue with the star's luggage. A Heathrow spokeswoman says, "We can confirm that a passenger was removed by police from a BA flight this afternoon." A representative for the London Metropolitan Police has confirmed a woman was arrested at the brand new Terminal 5 for an assault on police, but refused to disclose her identity or reveal her age.

Brown Blames Houston for Cocaine Addiction

R&B singer Bobby Brown has blamed his ex-wife Whitney Houston for getting him hooked on hard drugs. The 39-year-old, whose 15-year marriage to Houston was officially dissolved last year, has accused his former wife of introducing him to cocaine, which led to a spiraling drugs habit. Brown was convicted of cocaine possession in December and sentenced to a year of community service. And now the former New Edition star has put the blame solely on Houston. He writes in his forthcoming autobiography, "I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice. At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine." Houston also has a conviction for drug possession after she was arrested at a Hawaiian airport in January 2000. The singer pleaded no contest to possessing marijuana and was ordered to make a donation to an anti-drugs campaign in place of community service.

Rock Testifies in Pellicano Trial

Comedian Chris Rock has admitted he hired shamed Los Angeles private investigator Anthony Pellicano to snoop on a woman who accused him of rape. The funnyman testified in California's Federal court on Friday morning in Pellicano's ongoing wiretapping trial, where he was quizzed about his links to the private detective. Rock paid Pellicano to look into the background of Monica Zsibrita, who had initially claimed the star had fathered her child. When DNA tests proved Rock was not the baby's daddy, Zsibrita changed her story and accused Rock of raping her at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 1998. Rock's conversation with Pellicano was leaked onto the internet last month in a 31-minute telephone recording. On the taping, Pellicano can be heard telling Rock how he plans to help him fight the bogus rape charge. An apparently stressed Rock tells the detective, "Once you're accused of rape, you're just f**ked, you know?" Pellicano responds, "That's why I want to blacken this girl up, totally. I want to make her out to be a lying, scumbag, manipulative c********r... stupid b***h." Rock agrees, telling the detective, "I'm f**ked. I'm better getting caught with needles in my arm, way better, needles, with pictures. There's Chris Rock shooting heroin - much better blow to the career." In his testimony on Friday, Rock denied knowing anything about Pellicano's tactics, and reiterated his innocence in the rape claims: "I'm here a free man, I didn't do anything wrong. You know I didn't do anything wrong." Rock's testimony lasted just 15 minutes, according to TMZ.com. He is just one in a long list of celebrities to be linked to Pellicano. Other stars include Tom Cruise, Steven Seagal, Farrah Fawcett and Warren Beatty. The trial continues.

Ledger's Ex Slams Love Child Rumors

Heath Ledger's ex-girlfriend has chastised the media for alleging the late actor fathered her young daughter, insisting there is "no proof" for the claims. Reports Ledger had a secret love child surfaced at the weekend, when the star's uncle Haydn - the estranged brother of the late actor's dad Kim - claimed the unnamed 25-year-old woman discovered she was pregnant after her romance with the then-17-year-old Ledger ended. The woman in question alleged to be in a relationship with another man at the time. When the baby was born, it was presumed her boyfriend was the father, and he raised the child as his own. And Hadyn fueled reports of Heath's paternity, saying: "There is a very real possibility that Heath was the father." But Heath's former lover has disputed the allegations and has blasted the press for the invasion of privacy. When asked about the lovechild rumors, she replied: "I'm not answering anything. I think it's very, very rude that I'm being posed all of this. I really do. I can't talk about anything. You have no proof, there's no background, there's no grounds, there's no nothing. When you are considering an 11-year-old girl who has to go to school and be a part of society, that is my main concern." Her husband - the child's stepfather - also spoke out to deny the reports, and even suggested the family settles the dispute with a paternity test. He added: "The whole thing with (Ledger being the father) is no. No way. No can be. We knew it would flare up and that is the point of my talking and the simple thing is we will do a DNA test. I'm the step-dad, but there's nothing to hide... and if I asked (the mother) I'm sure that she wouldn't mind (to have a DNA test)." Ledger died on January 22, aged 28, from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs at his New York apartment.

Will Jay-Z & Beyonce Wed On Friday?

Rumors are rampant that Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles will exchange wedding vows in New York on Friday after gossips learned the rapper has cleared his busy schedule for the day. Jay-Z has performances with Mary J Blige in Massachusetts on Thursday night and North Carolina on Saturday - but nothing on Friday. And New York news organizations are reporting Knowles is currently in the Big Apple, together with her mother Tina and former Destiny's Child bandmate Michelle Williams. Jay-Z and Knowles successfully applied for a wedding license in Scarsdale, New York on Tuesday, and they have 60 days from that date to exchange vows - before the paperwork deadline expires. The latest rumors come just a day after Jay-Z staged an alleged bachelor party in Toronto, Canada. Representatives for both stars are refusing to confirm or deny marriage reports.

Gibson Wants 'Passion' Records Sealed

Mel Gibson has appealed to a Los Angeles judge to grant a privacy motion in his legal battle with the co-screenwriter of The Passion Of The Christ, in a bid to keep financial records about the 2004 film secret. Benedict Fitzgerald is suing Gibson, who directed the controversial religious epic, over accusations he cheated the screenwriter out of millions of dollars in potential earnings. He claims Gibson engaged in a "chronic and conspiratorial pattern of deceit" by telling him he was working on a project with a budget of between $4 million and $7 million. Fitzgerald alleges he was only paid $75,000 and that he had to borrow $200,000 from Gibson to cover expenses. The Passion Of The Christ went on to gross an estimated $600 million worldwide. In a court motion filed on Tuesday, lawyers working for Gibson and his Icon Productions company, which is also named as a defendant, are seeking to seal the movie's financial information, and only allow Fitzgerald's attorneys access to them. Gibson's appeal comes just days after he filed papers asking a judge to dismiss the fraud allegations filed against him by Fitzgerald. The two parties are due to meet in court for a hearing on June 20.

Seinfeld Cheats Death After Brakes Fail

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld narrowly escaped serious injury when the brakes on one of his classic cars failed during a drive in New York. The star was cruising along in his 1967 Fiat BTM on Saturday when the brakes stopped working, causing the 53-year-old to swerve the vehicle to avoid the busy Montauk Highway, which in turn resulted in the car flipping over, but just stopping short of the intersection. Todd Sarris, East Hampton Town Police Chief, praised Seinfeld for his behavior, insisting the maneuver "probably avoided a very serious accident." Seinfeld did not require medical attention, and the accident was attributed to a mechanical failure. His wife Jessica tells the New York Post, "He was a little shocked when he walked in and it started to dawn on him what happened." Seinfeld adds, "Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend, unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do. It is not something I plan to make a habit of."

Hatcher To Sing On TV

Teri Hatcher will show off her singing skills when she performs on American Idol's U.S. charity fundraiser Idol Gives Back next week. The Desperate Housewives star will hit the high notes on the mini-telethon, which will also feature appearances by Bono, Brad Pitt, Annie Lennox, Robin Williams and Kiefer Sutherland. The New York Daily News reports the actress will perform Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" with Desperate Housewives co-star James Denton and Hugh Laurie's celebrity group The Band From TV. Comedienne Ellen DeGeneres was slated to host the show, but she has pulled out due to "personal production pressure." Organizers are hoping to raise over $100 million for charities like the Children's Defense Fund, The Global Fund To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis And Malaria, Make It Right and Save The Children.

Bardem Pulls Out of Coppola Film, Replaced by Maura

Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem has pulled out of Francis Ford Coppola's new movie Tetro - only to be replaced by Spanish actress Carmen Maura. The legendary director originally wrote the part for a male lead, but decided to re-write the character as female when Bardem was forced to withdraw from the project. And Coppola insists he was glad he had the opportunity to give the character a sex-change. He tells The Hollywood Reporter, "One of the important roles in the script is a mentor and teacher to Tetro (leading character played by Vincent Gallo), and I originally wrote it for a man. As I read and re-read (the script), I felt that the interaction between the two characters would be far more intriguing if they were of the opposite sex." Maura has now joined the rest of the cast for the film's 11-week shoot, which began on March 31 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Scorsese Missed Out On Filming Richards Arrest

Director Martin Scorsese was left disappointed he didn't manage to film police arresting Rolling Stones star Keith Richards for the DVD edition of his new rockumentary Shine A Light. Scorsese was flying to Los Angeles from the Berlin Film Festival in Germany, where the concert movie premiered in February, and agreed to drop the guitarist off en route in Newark, New Jersey. Police met the rocker at the airport, where Richards claims he was arrested over a passport mix up - and Scorsese was left watching the saga without being able to film the legend's exchange with airport cops. Richards says, "I got collared by the cops and dragged off. Something about the numbers in my passport, but I think it had to do with supervisors wanting to meet me. Martin saw me physically being arrested. He's sorry he didn't get that scene."

Federline Denies Spears Reunion Reports

Kevin Federline has rebuked reports he is to whisk his ex-wife Britney Spears off on a secret Hawaiian getaway in a bid to save their fractured relationship. The former couple has been locked in a bitter divorce and custody battle since splitting in 2006, but American magazine Star this week claimed they are set for a reconciliation after spending time together over Easter. A source told the magazine, "Kevin wants to take Britney away to see if there is anything to salvage between them. When he suggested it to her, she told him she was ready to go anytime he was." However, according to TheCelebrityTruth.com, a representative for the wannabe rapper/dancer insists the reports are "not true."
