Rachel and Monica switch apartments with Joey and Chandler after losing a trivia game Phoebe becomes a surrogate mother for her half brother and his wife. Ross meets Emily and at the season finale the group travels to London for their wedding.

   Season 5: Ross and Emily deal with the aftermath of the name confusion at the wedding. And later he is suspended from his work at the museum due to his anger management issues. Chandler and Monica try to keep their relationship as a secret from the rest of the gang. Phoebe dates Gary, a police officer after finding his badge and using it as her own. At season end Ross and Rachel marry after getting drunk on a trip to Las Vegas.
