Avatar: The Last Airbender, Book Three: Fire began on September 21, 2007. The season premiere aired at 8:30 p.m., Eastern Time.

Princess Yue, the 16-year-old daughter of Chief Arnook of the Northern Water Tribe, sacrificed her life to become the new embodiment of the Moon Spirit and to save her people from the attack of Admiral Zhao's Fire Navy Fleet.

In the episode "The Day of Black Sun, Part 2: The Eclipse" Azula taunts Sokka with the hint that she holds Suki prisoner.

At New York Comic Con 2008 there were clips of future episodes. Several episodes featuring Suki have also been released on DVD. In them Sokka goes to the Fire Nation prison Boiling Rock to rescue his dad and ends up finding Suki there. With Zuko's help they escape. When Sokka asks about the other Kyoshi warriors she says they are located at another prison near the capital and she was sent to The Boiling Rock because she was their leader.

In Ba Sing Se, Jet is captured by the Dai Li and is brain-washed to betray the Avatar. Jet overcomes the mind-control after being ordered to attack Aang and his friends and is killed by Long Feng in the "Lake Laogai" episode. Jet actually dies off-screen; his fate has been confirmed by the show's creators.

Yes, there are plans for three live-action films. The showbiz magazine Variety announced on January 8th, 2007 that filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan has signed a 3-picture deal with Paramount's MTV Films and Nick Movies to write, direct and produce a live-action film adaptation of "Avatar: The Last Airbender." The film version is to be produced at Paramount. The first feature film will be titled "The Last Airbender" to avoid confusion with James Cameron's unrelated film "Avatar." The movie is expected to be released in theaters on July 2, 2010. Shooting will take place on stages in Philadelphia, as well as locations including Greenland. Shyamalan said in an interview for RopeOfSilicon.com that set construction will begin in August 2008.

Producers include M. Night Shyamalan, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, Sam Mercer and Scott Aversano. Series creators Michael DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko will serve as executive producers. As to casting, Shyamalan made the following announcement at the Licensing International Expo 2008 on June 10th, 2008 in New York City: "Casting has begun and we've seen thousands of kids. I believe we've found the next superstars."

If Aang's status changes so that he is no longer the last airbender then that would probably signal either the end of the series or a serious change of direction. That would mean that either Aang has died and the airbenders are extinct or that a new airbender has been born or discovered.

No. The creators confirmed that at San Diego Comic Con in July, 2007. Other stories will be told in the Avatar world and there are the upcoming live-action movies, but the animated series ends with Book 3: Fire. Nickelodeon has announced that there will be "(t)hree original 60-minute animated Avatar movies," in addition to the live-action, feature-length film trilogy by M. Night Shyamalan.

Fire Lord Ozai confirmed that he banished Zuko's mother and that she may still be alive, but it is unsure. In the series finale, Fire Lord Zuko questions his father on the whereabouts of his mother, but the series ends before it is confirmed that she was found or even alive.
