From working for the exacting Alfred Hitchcock to a film written by Edward D. Wood Jr., Tippi Hedren, the Minnesota blonde, has had a distinctive career. She was born Nathalie Kay Hedren in New Ulm, MN, to Dorothea (née Eckhardt) and Bernard Hedren, who ran a general store, and is of Swedish, Norwegian, and German descent. Tippi was working as a New York fashion model when she married her first husband, former actor and later advertising executive Peter Griffith, in 1952 (married until 1961). She gave birth to her only child, future star Melanie Griffith, on August 9, 1957. Alfred Hitchcock discovered Tippi, the pretty cover girl, while viewing a commercial on NBC's Today (1952) show. He put her under personal contract and cast her in The Birds (1963). In a cover article about the movie in Look magazine (Dec. 4, 1962), Hitchcock praised her; he also told the Associated Press: "Tippi Hedren is really remarkable. She's already reaching the lows and highs of terror". Her performance in the film earned her both the Golden Globe award and the Photoplay award as Most Promising Newcomer. Her next film was playing the title role in Hitchcock's Marnie (1964), where she played a challenging and difficult role of a frigid, habitual thief. The film wasn't as big a hit as "The Birds," and it would take years before she won well-deserved admiration for her work. The professional relationship with Hitchcock ended with mutual bitterness and disappointment during the filming of "Marnie." That year, she married her agent, Noel Marshall (married until 1982). Charles Chaplin cast her in a supporting role in his final film A Countess from Hong Kong (1967), which flopped. Thereafter, Tippi and her husband Marshall collected big cats and other wildlife for the film Roar (1981), which they starred in and produced. The film took 11 years and $17 million to make, but it only made $2 million worldwide. Nevertheless, the film was a turning point in her life; she became actively involved in animal rights, as well as a wide variety of humanitarian and environmental causes. She married her third husband, businessman Luis Barrenecha, in 1985 but divorced him seven years later. In 2002, she became engaged to veterinarian Martin Dinnes, but after six years and no wedding, the couple called it quits. Tippi has devoted much time and effort to charitable causes: she is a volunteer International Relief Coordinator for "Food for the Hungry". She has traveled worldwide to set up relief programs following earthquakes, hurricanes, famine and war, and has received numerous awards for her efforts, including the Humanitarian Award presented to her by the Baha'i Faith. As for animal causes, she is founder and president of The Roar Foundation. Onscreen, she continues to work frequently in films, theater and TV. She appeared in I Woke Up Early the Day I Died (1998), finally bringing to the big screen the last screenplay written by the late Edward D. Wood Jr. in 1974 (and featuring Wood regulars Maila Nurmi and Conrad Brooks, just about the only surviving members of Wood's stock company). She also enjoyed playing comedic roles, such as an abortion rights activist in Alexander Payne's satire Citizen Ruth (1996) and slapping Jude Law in I Heart Huckabees (2004). Tippi's contributions to world cinema have been honored with Life Achievement awards in France at The Beauvais Film Festival Cinemalia 1994; in Spain, by The Fundacion Municipal De Cine in 1995; and at the Riverside International Film Festival in 2007. In 1999, Tippi was honored as "Woman of Vision" by Women in Film and Video in Washington, D.C., and received the Presidential Medal for her work in film from Hofstra University. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and grandchildren: Alexander Bauer, Dakota Johnson and Stella Banderas.- Actor

Hildegard Frieda Albertine Knef was born on December 28, 1925 in Ulm, Germany. In 1940, she began to study acting. Even before the fall of the Third Reich, she appeared in several films, but most of them were only released after the war. To avoid being raped by Soviet soldiers, she dressed like a young man and was sent to a camp for prisoners of war. She escaped and returned to war-shattered Berlin, where she played her first parts on stage. The first German movie after World War II, Murderers Among Us (1946), made her a star. David O. Selznick invited her to Hollywood and offered her a contract--with two conditions: Hildegard Knef should change her name to Gilda Christian, and she should pretend to be Austrian instead of German. She refused both and returned to Germany. In 1951 she provoked one of the greatest scandals in German film history when she appeared naked in the film The Sinner (1951). The Roman Catholic Church protested vehemently against that film, but Hildegard just commented: "I can't understand all that tumult--five years after Auschwitz!"
With the support of her first husband, the American Kurt Hirsch, she tried a second time to launch a Hollywood career and changed her surname from Knef to Neff (Americans could not pronounce Knef), but the only worthwhile part she got was a supporting role in the Hemingway adaptation of The Snows of Kilimanjaro (1952). She became a leading lady in German, French, and British films. Finally, America offered her another chance, this time on the stage. She achieved a kind of stardom as Ninotchka in the very popular Broadway play "Silk Stockings".
In 1963 she began a new career as a singer, surprising audiences with her typical, deep, smoky voice and the fact that she wrote many of her own song lyrics. In 1970, she wrote the autobiographical bestseller "Der Geschenkte Gaul". She got sympathy from all over the world for her fight against cancer, which she defeated several times.
After the German reunification, Hildegarde Knef moved back to Berlin and died at age 76 of a lung infection on February 1, 2002.- Kathryn Adams was born on 15 July 1920 in New Ulm, Minnesota, USA. She was an actress, known for Blonde for a Day (1946), Saboteur (1942) and Fifth Avenue Girl (1939). She was married to Fred Owen Doty and Hugh Beaumont. She died on 14 October 2016 in Mankato, Minnesota, USA.

The onset of World War II led him to move to the United States, and he was granted a post at the Institute for Advanced Study in New Jersey. Harald Franz Schmidt was born on 18 August 1957 in Neu-Ulm, Germany as the oldest son of an administrative employee and a kindergarten educator. After graduating in his hometown Nürtingen, he studied acting at the Stuttgart School of Music and Performing Arts from 1978 to 1981. During his first stage engagement in Augsburg, he was discovered by Kay Lorentz, making him a cast member at the Düsseldorf cabaret Kom(m)oedchen. As television noticed the talented comedian, he started hosting his first shows _"Maz ab!" (1988) and _"Psst...!" (1989)_, followed by the satirical Schmidteinander (1990). Although his first Saturday night show Verstehen Sie Spaß? (1980) flopped, the private network SAT.1 gave him the opportunity to host his own late night show Die Harald Schmidt Show (1995), which gained cult status during its eight-year-run due to Schmidt's sophisticated, disrespectful humor. At the end of 2004, after a break of one year, he returned to the public network ARD and started a second run with Harald Schmidt (2004).- Lenore Ulric was born in New Ulm, Minnesota, on July 21, 1892. - Iva Mihanovic was born on 19 April 1978 in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. She was previously married to Maximilian Schell.
- He grew up in middle-class circumstances as the son of a butcher. Like his younger brother Dieter, he began his playing career at VfB Ulm. As a child, Hoeneß moved to the youth teams of TSG Ulm 1846 (today SSV Ulm 1846). At the age of fifteen he became captain of the DFB student team. In 1970 he moved to the professional squad of FC Bayern Munich together with Paul Breitner and Rainer Zobel. On the first Bundesliga match day, August 15, 1970, he made his Bundesliga debut in a 1-1 draw in Stuttgart, and he scored his first goal on November 28, 1970 (16th match day) in a 1-1 draw in Braunschweig. In the first year he was runner-up and DFB Cup winner. In 1971 he completed his school education with the Abitur at the Schubart-Gymnasium in Ulm. He later dropped out of his teaching degree in English and history because of his football career.
In the same year, 1971, Hoeneß was called up to the U-23 national team. He played his first international match on June 11, 1971 in Heilbronn. Hoeneß scored his first goal in an international match and the team won against Albania with 2-0 goals. In 1972 he took part in the Olympic Games. On November 21, 1973, he played for the U-23 in Warsaw for the second and last time. The match ended in a draw. Hoeneß became the star player of the league. His quick start made him a dangerous opponent. Hoeneß ran the 100 meters in 11.0 seconds. The strike duo Müller-Hoeneß scored 53 goals in the 1971/1972 and 1972/1973 seasons. In 1972, Hoeneß also became a regular player in the national team under national coach Helmut Schön, where he made his debut in March 1972 and became a member of the legendary Wembley team. In the same year he became European champion with the DFB team. Just ten days after the European Championship final, Hoeneß celebrated his first German championship with FC Bayern under coach Udo Lattek.
In the European Champions Cup in the 1973/74 season he scored two goals in the second leg against Dynamo Dresden and in the second final game against Atletico Madrid. Hoeneß took part in all seven World Cup games in 1974, scoring a penalty against Sweden and missing one against Poland. The Federal Republic of Germany won the tournament after a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands in the final in Munich and became world champions for the second time since 1954. He was seriously injured in the 1975 European Cup final against Leeds United. In the final of the 1976 European Championship, he missed his penalty in the penalty shootout against the ÈSSR, who then became European champions. After scoring 86 goals in 239 games for FC Bayern until 1978, he moved to 1.FC Nürnberg for the 1978/79 season, for whom he played eleven more times. However, due to irreparable knee damage, Hoeneß had to end his active career at the age of 27. The following year, in 1980, at the age of just 27, he was appointed the youngest manager in the league at FC Bayern Munich.
When he started work, FC Bayern achieved sales of twelve million marks with a debt of seven million marks. In his first year of work, Uli Hoeneß was already happy about winning the German championship in 1980. He was subsequently largely responsible for the economic rise of FC Bayern Munich. Hoeneß, who was inspired by professional merchandising in the USA in the 1970s, introduced the instrument, which was still largely unknown in Germany at the time, and brought the FC millions in additional income. In 1982 he was the only one of four passengers to survive the crash of a sports bike. In 1983, together with Werner Weiß, he founded the HoWe Wurstwaren KG sausage factory in Nuremberg. Under his leadership, FC Bayern became the most successful club in the history of football. Between 1980 and 2008, the club was German champion 16 times, DFB Cup winner nine times, League Cup winner six times and UEFA Cup winner (1996).
This means that almost all of the club's triumphs fall during his time in office. In 1999, Hoeneß became the first football manager to be named Manager of the Year. In 2006 he was awarded the Bavarian Sports Prize in the "High Performance Athlete Plus" category. In 2009 he was honored with the "Golden Sports Pyramid" and thus included in the "Hall of Fame" of German sports. In November 2009 he was honored with the "Bambi" in the "Economy" category. At the end of November 2009, Uli Hoeneß ended his role as manager at FC Bayern after more than 30 years. On November 27, 2009, he was appointed President of FC Bayern München e.V. at the annual general meeting and in March 2010 Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FC Bayern München AG. His successor was Christian Nerlinger, who took over as manager on December 1, 2009. His predecessor in the presidency, Franz Beckenbauer, was appointed honorary president.
On March 13, 2014, Uli Hoeneß was sentenced by the 5th criminal chamber of the Munich II Regional Court to a total prison sentence of three and a half years for tax evasion. On March 14th he resigned from his functions as President of FC Bayern Munich e. V. and as chairman of the supervisory board of FC Bayern München AG. At the same time, he declared that he did not want to appeal the verdict. After his early release from prison, he held both positions again from 2016 to 2019. Since he decided not to seek re-election, he has only been a simple member of the supervisory board. - Director
