Lorraine Miller attended schools in Flint, MI, where she excelled in many areas including debate, singing, acting and numerous club activities. After graduating in May of 1940 from Flint Northern High, she worked as a telephone operator for Michigan Bell until she won a contest as "Rodeo Queen". The prize was a contract with MGM in Hollywood. When she arrived in California she stayed at the "Studio Club", a residence for young actresses. Her roommate there was Donna Reed. In 1941 Flint celebrated "Lorraine Miller Day", and Life magazine ran a story with pictures about her work in Hollywood. Lorraine was known for her beauty, and she has been compared to Rita Hayworth.- Frances Wayne was born on 26 August 1924 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She was married to Neal Hefti. She died on 6 February 1978 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
- Inda Lipnack Kuehl (January 24, 1940 - February 6, 1978) was an American arts journalist, based in New York City. Intending to write a biography of Billie Holiday, she interviewed friends, fellow performers, and key figures in Holiday's life, but died before its completion. Various other writers' biographies on Holiday have drawn upon Kuehl's material, as did the film Billie (2019), which is narrated by Kuehl's recorded interviews. She worked as a high school teacher and freelance writer.
