Boris Pavlovich Filchikov was a Soviet sound-engineer at the Soyuzmultfilm Studio. He participated in the creation of about 500 Soviet and Russian animation films, in the duplication of foreign animated and feature films.
At the age of 20, Filchikov graduated from Rostov Technical College. At the age of 32, he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Film Engineers, specializing in electrical engineering. In the years 1938-1940, he worked as a technician at the Research Institute of Film Engineering. Filchikov took part in the Great Patriotic War. In 1946-1948, he was head of the sound-studio "Stereokino". Since 1948 - head of the sound-studio "Soyuzmultfilm", where he worked until 1997.
He died on January 15, 2006 in Moscow. Boris Filchikov was buried in the 13th section of Babushkinsky Cemetery, Moscow, Russia.- Oliver Hirsch was born in 1946 in Versailles, France. He was married to Marcia Gomide and Joan Hirsch. He died on 15 January 2006 in New York City, New York, USA.
