He was born in Parkstone, Dorset, England. His father was English and his mother was Danish. Olaf was a student of architecture at the Architectural Association, London, and of painting at the Chelsea School of Art. In Paris, he studied under the tutelage of Marcel Grommaire, at the Acedemie Colorossi. He has exhibited in Europe, including with the London Group and the Bloomsbury Gallery, London; in Paris at the Gallerie d'Alsace, the Centre Culturel Saint Severin, and L'Imagerie - and in Mallorca, at La Residencia and the Galleria Ortez, Palma de Mallorca. Alongside his work as a painter, he has been a working actor since his days in England. His first full time employment was in the Design Department at Pinewood Film Studios in England. He subsequently worked in Theatre Décor. He was a member of the BBC Radio Drama Reparatory Company. He went onto working successfully as an actor in London's West End Theatre and the various alternative media.
Upon immigrating to the United States in 1986, Olaf continued his acting career while his second wife, Gabrielle Beaumont, pursued a very successful TV Director career. He had a reoccurring role as Professor Stahlman in the Doctor Who television series. He is one of only 25 actors to have speaking roles in both the "Star Trek" and the "Doctor Who" franchises. He still receives mail from fans around the world who follow the Dr. Who series and admire his work. He has written numerous screen plays and was a close friend of Sir Alec Guinness for many years.

He died on 14 July 2015 in Santa Barbara, California, USA.- Janet was born in Birmingham on October 10 1931 and trained as an actress at Birmingham Repertory School, subsequently performing in repertory groups around the British Isles. In 1968 she made her Royal Shakespeare Company debut, remaining with them until 1976, then returning for a 7 year stint in 1995. During this period she cites her favourite director as Ronald Eyre, who helmed a production of 'London Assurance' with Judi Dench and Donald Sinden. Janet also acted with the National Theatre in 'The Life of Galileo' with Michael Gambon and 'Hedda Gabler' starring Juliet Stevenson. In later years she worked in Northampton at the Royal and Derngate. Though she made comparatively few movies her last appearance was as a 'scary old lady' in the 2012 'Snow White and the Huntsman'. A keen bridge player Janet died on 14 July 2015. She was unmarried.

- The professor emeritus and director of theater came to the Wichita State university in 1958 as an English teacher. In 1961, he moved to the drama department, where he directed some 150 productions and performed more than 200 roles as he worked to build a vibrant theater arts program.
He retired in 1991, after guiding many of his students on to stellar careers.
A world-class actor, Welsbacher held a master's degree in theater from the University of Denver and a bachelor's degree in theater arts from Denison University, where he worked with a core group of actors, many of whom went on to successful stage and film careers.
