- Tepito is a neighborhood of Mexico City, where the dreams of many destitute people become real. But Tepito is also run by organized crime and corrupt politicians, impunity reigns and justice is non- existent. Here will take place the story of two foolishly proud young men, who were once best childhood friends, and now are blinded by greed and turn against each other. Their intentions are to destroy their families and eventually their own lives.

After taking Nikki's advice to follow his dream and disregarding his mother's wish to see her son attend college, Dwight joins a wrestling camp, and incurring the wrath of his mother who cannot stand Nikki as she visits them.
- Dwight makes his debut as The Crybaby in his first professional wrestling match, but his embarrassment leads him to ditch the script. Meanwhile, Nikki is up for a solo act in a musical production at the casino, but the lyrics could harm her big chance.
- When a new neighbor running an illegal day-care center in her apartment turns to Nikki for help, the Whites face potential eviction. Meanwhile, Dwight appears in a promo for his new wrestling league, but the gig isn't as glamorous as he expected.

Soon, Mary and Jupiter get involved as well. However, through a series of mishaps, Nikki teams with Ken, and Mary rejects Jupiter for a handsome Latino, Antonio.
- Nikki and Dwight have a hard time trying to squeeze having sex into their busy schedule. Dwight impresses Jupiter at practice and gets a chance to wrestle on television, but he'll have to abstain from having sex for two weeks to conserve his energy. Meanwhile, Nikki competes for the position of dance captain, but loses it to Mary.
- The owner of a rival wrestling association buys out Jupiter's organization. At first Dwight and his co-workers are excited about appearing in a league with a higher profile. But their elation is short-lived when the new boss announces that he intends to replace them all with his own cronies, a decision that forces a conflicted Jupiter to fire his entire staff in order to save his own job. Meanwhile, Nikki and Mary vie for the lead in a music video slated to air on MTV.
- When Nikki feels ill, Dwight drags her down the doctor, who delivers bad news: she might not be able to conceive if she keeps putting it off. Nikki feels torn apart by the idea of not being able to have her own family, but the other option to have kids right away freaks her out even more.
- Nikki and Dwight can't afford their rent anymore, but get offered to maintain the building and get a discount for that. With their new work they see strange things happening around the building. To investigate some of these things, Nikki sneaks into another apartment where she gets arrested for prostitution. To escape charges she has to visit a humiliating first time offenders program.
- Nikki contemplates cutting her long hair and tries out a wig to see how she would look, but Dwight's reaction to it isn't what she expected. Meanwhile, Dwight and Jupiter work in a homeless shelter after getting ticketed for setting up the Ring of Death in a public park without a license.
- Nikki learns that the next show at the casino requires the dancers to perform topless- or take the month long run off without pay. Dwight's medical insurance is canceled because of an injury he sustained in junior high school, and he can't wrestle until he gets a new policy. Before leaving for home, Marion tries to persuade Dwight that he's throwing his life away.
- Clayton threatens to expose a secret about him and MJ. Alexandra resorts to blackmail. MJ has big decisions to make about her relationship with Chris. Hotel politics rise and Vincent almost loses everything at high-stakes poker, leading him into a new business with a Chinese woman named Xao Ling.
- Nicole's father, Walter, pays a surprise visit to the hotel but gets a surprise himself; Jason tries to forget about Nicole by getting closer to Tessa, who is working to help Walter take over the Grand Waimea. Meanwhile, Frankie meets a girl on the beach, but realizes that he is not the only man involved with her. He also could be putting his job and health at risk.
