Desperate to get her husband back, she devotes her life to works of charity, which is to go to bed with the other men of the town. - Like her mother before her, beautiful Sissy wants to be a dancer at the Tropicana, Havana's famous cabaret. But her truck driving father, Candido, forbids her to do so because of his ongoing grudge against Armando, his former rival and choreographer at the nightclub. When Candido and his friend Promedio accidentally run Sergito over, Promedio sees the star-shaped mole on the boy's buttock, identical to Candido's. Much to Sissy's delight and to Promedio's dismay for fear of incest, Candido takes the boy home, unaware that Sergito is his son and therefore Sissy's brother. Promedio's worries are confirmed when the two youngsters fall madly in love.

- This documentary about "immigrant" police officers, comes from a German-Turk Berliner herself. She follows police actions in the heavily Turkish (dominant among many immigrant groups) districts of Kreuzberg and Neukölln. These are both home to now-third generation German Turks, Yugoslavs and others. But these "foreigners" started to inhabit this area of the former West Berlin over 40 years ago, and have in fact made it their home. In the 5th brigade, there two policemen of Turkish origin in addition to three other "of foreign origin." Here, in these two districts, at once the most crime ridden and also the most immigrant inhabited, the "foreign" officers not only face the obvious challenges, but must also balance the many cultural and ethnic conflicts. The film shows that their usual police duties may be easier than the constant battle they face against being a "foreigner" and a "traitor" to some, and the local, neighborhood law enforcers to others.
- The film begins with two contrasting scenes. The first shows Yussuf threatening another man (Adran) with a gun; the second is a love scene between 22 year old Sevda and Adran. Sevda is not allowed by her Turkish family in Berlin, particularly controlled by her tyrannical brother, Yussuf, to date any men at all. Meanwhile, Yussuf boasts about the dozens of girfriends he has, all whores - as are all women according to him, except his sister Sevda whose chastity Yussuf makes his personal crusade. Resigned to Yussuf's "right" to act this way (being a man), while she must lie and live in fear for her love, Sevda persuades her parents to allow her to study in Hamburg. Adran could then come along, while Yussuf and the family stay behind in Berlin. Will the plan work?
