- A day that starts like any other turns out to be one family's bitterly hilarious, ultimately painful, day-long journey of self-realization. "Lifelines" chronicles the hapless Bernstein family - Ira, Nancy, Michael, Meghan and Spencer, as they try to catch up to the life they are living... Exploring flawed characters, never allowing any excuses for their ugly behavior beyond their basic humanity, the story reflects the realistic experience of pausing long enough in your typical autopilot day to create the necessary time for truth to emerge.
- The story of a kid who has a dream of playing college football, but faces the obstacles of injury, love and life to make his dream come true.
- This is an exceedingly clever picture, taken out of doors to give it all the needed realism. A farmer stands before a table, and breaks eggs into a plate. As the content of each egg strikes the plate it changes instantly into a live chick. The effect is very novel and amusing.
- Two fair swimmers in an exciting race.
- A group of cows standing in the corner of a pasture lot. A hobo has sneaked in unobserved, and is milking one of the cows for his lunch, the patient animal standing quietly while the tramp does his work. The photographic effects in this film are very fine.
- Alphonse and Gaston, the well-known Opper creations, assist a fair but veiled female across a muddy street a la Sir Walter Raleigh.
- Two pretty girls in an amusing contest at the seashore.
- A pretty pastoral scene, showing a young girl milking a cow in a barn-yard. Very natural throughout.
- Taken in a country chicken yard. A little child is feeding the chickens, when a tramp approaches and attempts to steal one. He is driven away by the farmer. Very realistic.
- A humorous tub race between a bevy of pretty girls and athletic young men at a seashore resort near New York.
- A young man and a woman out in a row-boat attempt to change seats, and fall overboard. He gallantly rescues her, giving rise to the question which names the picture.
- A young man standing beneath a portico is bidding a fond farewell to a damsel stationed in the portico above him. While he is thus busily engaged, a mischievous small boy ties a rope about the young man's ankles, resulting in a humorous fall as he tries to leave.
- Charlie is clueless and a bit neurotic about being in college. After many failed attempts of trying to get rid of a luke warm cup of coffee, he "bumps" into an old friend along the way.
