I have only so far seen a tiny fragment of this film but I lbelive more does exist and I await eagerly it appearance on the net. In the meantime it may help to point out that the film is clearly misidentified on the Jérôme Saydoux Pathé site as being the film known in French as Lui Garçon de restaurant where Harold and Snub are waiters in a posh restaurant. It is I think in fact the film known in French as Une faim de loup where Harold, having been chucked out by his father, gets a job in a diner where he endeavours to eat all he possibly cn.
Other similar misidentifications are the Snub film Tough Luck wheer the surviving fragment does not at all fit with the Beaucitron a la guigne wheer Snub plays one half of a pathologically superstitious couple and another Snub film The Floor Below which, to judge from clips that exist, is certainly not Beaucitron dans l'ascenseur where Snub is a lift operator (although the title would seem logical enough) but rather the film known in French as Deux bons maris where Snub and his mate are two hen-pecked husbands.
What I still do not know, however, are the correct English titles for Lui Garçon de restaurant, Beaucitron a la guigne and Beaucitron dans l'ascenseur. Any ideas?
I have assumed the misidentifications are this way round because in the case of Before Breakfast this would seem clearly to be the case but it is always possible in the case of the Snub snippets that it is the clips themselves that are misidentified.
