Buck and Silver shine in the moonlight
glennstenb1 January 2019
This is a good little film, but not really above par for a Buck Jones experience. It is nice to have Ward Bond, even if he appears less than would be optimum, and Polly Ann Young in the cast. All around the characters are fun to watch, but three elements are in abundance in this one: 1) plenty of Buck Jones and Silver galloping at warp speed (it's hard to imagine Silver and even Buck, for that matter, can take so much of this); 2) an awful lot of dark, nighttime action where only the white hat of Buck let's us know he's alive and kicking; and 3) Silver once again gets to shine in helping out in the apprehension of the bad guys. Buck Jones fans will appreciate this one, but he made plenty of other films that were more engrossing.
