Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • One of the main scenes in this movie is an automobile accident in which George and Marion crash and over turn their convertible car. They die in the accident and become "ghosts" for the rest of the movie. This is handled in a somewhat lighthearted manner since this a comedy movie. As they see themselves at the scene of the accident while sitting on a nearby log, they begin to become visually transparent to each other and in turn letting us know they have become "ghosts". The accident itself is still traumatic and could be troubling to some viewers. As the movie progresses George and Marion look "normal" to those involved with them. Later they can become visible and invisible at will.
  • The car crashes for a second time at the same corner with Topper at the wheel. He seems to die as George and Marion did but after talking to them they decide Topper is not going to be in their membership. Topper makes up with his wife.
