- After the Pony Express is disbanded, Tennessee Colby (Don Barry), Tommy Logan (Bud McTaggart) and 'Fiddlefoot' (Emmett Lynn), ex-riders, go to Adobe Wells, seat of a large ranch owned by Tommy and his sister Mary (Lynn Merrick), to seek new fortunes. Unknown to Mary, Tommy is really a confirmed crook working under Walt Bledsoe (Clancy Cooper), gang leader and trigger-man for Hobart Patterson (John Vosper), crooked politician, who is bleeding the ranchers through a monopoly on freighting. The territory is being considered for statehood and Patterson schemes to have the federal investigator killed and having one of his henchmen masquerade as the murdered man. Tommy is assigned the job of killing Tenneesee who has been appointed deputy marshal by territory marshal Bat Matson. Tenneesee rounds up all the outlaws including Tommy who confesses all but makes a jail break and is killed by Matson.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
