When the dance sequence with Gene Kelly and Jerry the Mouse was screened for MGM executives, someone noticed that although Kelly's reflection shone on the floor during his dancing, Jerry's did not. So all the animators who worked on the sequence had to be rehired to go back in and draw Jerry's reflection on the floor as he was dancing. más

The great Gene Kelly and Sinatra., 19 August 2003

Anchors Aweigh focuses on two navy buddies hell-bent on getting some action. Frank Sinatra's character, Brooklyn, is a lovable dweeb who never scores. Gene Kelly, or Joe, is a smooth talking ladies' man who spends most of the movie trying to get his pal hooked up. Both Kelly and Sinatra have excellent camaraderie on screen and presumably off. It comes across on film. Frank went through something like seventy takes in order to get his dancing in the "Begged Her" sequence down; stick to crooning, man. There is also a charming little scene with Gene and Jerry the mouse dancing side by side; I only wish it could have been Mickey Mouse since Tom & Jerry is such a bygone cartoon. Big stuff for 1945.
