This 1946 sequel, three years after the original film, shows that the Connecticut farm now has electricity but they drive the same old station wagon. And, the telephone is no longer a party line as they don't count the number of rings before answering.
According to an article on the 16 August 1946 edition of The Hollywood Reporter, a third film was planned, but not made due to the difficulty of obtaining the services of McGuire and Young simultaneously.
Robert Young was borrowed from MGM for this film.
