- A flight attendant becomes romantically involved with an airline pilot, a college professor, and a successful businessman, all of whom are named Mike. After the three find out about one another, she must decide which one she loves the most--which won't be easy.—Daniel Bubbeo <dbubbeo@cmp.com>
- Small-town girl Marcy Lewis is accepted by American Airlines into their flight-attendant school, followed by her training leading up to her first flight, which must return to the airport because the flight attendant forgot to check if there was any food aboard. She jumps from training to romancing and soon has three suitors, all named Mike: Michael Lawrence, a poor, struggling scientist; Mike Jamison, an airline pilot; and Mike Tracy, an advertising executive. The keyword for which one she chooses? Cast-order.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
- Marcy Lewis from small-town Havenville, Indiana looks set to conquer the world, and she decides to do this as flight attendant for American Airlines, which first entails going through training at the company's flight center in Chicago. In the process, Marcy makes a strong impression on everyone she meets, though not always a good one as her errors in judgment almost result in her not even being hired and she suspended time after time, but one that usually emerges out the other end with those people seeing the bright spark that she is. Three specific people she meets are arguably those on whom she has the strongest effect, by happenstance all who just happen to have the given name Mike and turn out not to be the person she though on first meeting. The first is Mike Jamison, the pilot on her first ever work flight, and who wants to offer her the excitement of their shared wanderlust. The second is advertising executive Mike Tracy, who offers her the excitement of shared ideas. And third is Mike Lawrence, a poor graduate student doing research on bio-luminescence, who, according to him, can only offer her himself and his love for her.—Huggo
