- Disney Legend Sterling Holloway narrates this classic animated short. A mix-up by Mr. Stork finds a little lion cub in the care of a gentle flock of sheep. Doted on by his mother, but teased by the other lambs, Lambert soon grows to become a massive lion, but as shy and gentle as the ewe who raised him. When a hungry wolf begins to stalk the herd, will Lambert find the courage to protect his mama?
- A flock of sheep receive a visit from Mr. Stork. However, due to a mishap, a lion cub has somehow gotten bundled along with his delivery. Mr. Stork tries to reason with the young cub's 'new mother,' but she refuses to give him up.
The young cub, named Lambert, tries to make friends and play with the other young lambs, but he can't 'baa' or head-butt with the others. His differences cause the other lambs to make fun of him and mock him in a song. Even so, Lambert's mother still loves him.
Soon, the young lambs have grown up, as well as Lambert. One evening, a hungry wolf finds the flock, and tries to abduct Lambert's mother. Upon seeing her in danger, Lambert's primal instincts kick in, and he frightens off the wolf. Lambert's victory causes the other sheep to change their tune, and he is accepted into the flock based on his bravery.
