Agreeable , enjoyable musical comedy/drama with a good cast ,starred by prodigious singer Antonio Molina , well photographed by the prolific cameraman Juán Mariné and professionally directed by Antonio Del Amo . Here Antonio Molina interprets as a hard-working fisher, and bullfighter , being assisted by an excellent plethora of familiar secondaries . This Antonio Molina show titled El Pescador De Coplas , or The Fisher of Songs is a 1954 Spanish musical comedy/drama film directed by Antonio del Amo and starring Marujita Díaz, Tony Leblanc and Antonio Molina . In the salt-marsh located in de San Fernando (Cádiz) lives María del Mar (Marujita Díaz) and his likeable brother Juan Ramón (Antonio Molina) , along with Rafa (the always hilarious Tony Leblanc) ; fishing by fishing they dedicate to sing and dance ; meanwhile they fall in love . As the love of the dancer Maria del Mar is disputed by two suitors : Miguel (Manuel Monroy) and the Latino galán Vicente Parra in his beginners. Then an entrepreneur hears sing to Antonio Molina and he wants to hire him as a singer but he renounces to it . However , when various distresses happen Juán Ramón/Antonio Molina changes his desire and he goes Madrid where gets a big hit .

Attractive and charming comedy/drama with a successful singer : Antonio Molina . Sympathetic and enjoyable dramedy with the youthful idol who attempts to bring to life their dreams , making his desires truth of being artist to raise fame and fortune . Here Antonio Molina is a poor and unfortunate fisher and bullfighter as well , who suffers the ordinary ¨Cogida¨ by a bull at a public plaza . This was his first film who became him one of the most expensive artists by the time . Of course , Antonio Molina steals the spectacle as the splendid singer who sings at great shows some popular songs . There he sings the following songs : Yo quiero ser matador, María de los Remedios y Mar Blanca ya se apagan dos luceros, Pescador de coplas, Adiós a España. Antonio Molina would go on playing successful movies as 1965 Puente de coplas , 1960 Café de Chinitas , 1958 El Cristo de los Faroles , 1957 La hija de Juan Simón , 1956 Malagueña and his best one : 1956 Esa voz es una mina . The scenarios and studios in which develop the deeds are well designed . Musical score responds appropriately to the ambient , originating a careful atmosphere and including several catching and popular songs by Antonio Molina .

Here Antonio Molina gives a sensitive and natural acting as a fisher , torero and singer . Antonio Molina (9 March 1928 - 18 March 1992) was a Spanish Flamenco dancer and popular singer and actor in films and on theatrical stage. Since a little boy he worked at all kinds of jobs . While his military service he participated in broadcasting contests , his big hit caused he abandons his former employments and he becomes a professional singer at the early 50s . He turns a successful career as a notorious singer and his film debut is ¨El pescador de coplas¨ 1953 , following the semi-autobiographic ¨Esta voz es una mina¨ 1956 and subsequently creating his own spectacle company . Born in Málaga, from the age of 10 he showed great aptitude for flamenco singing, and became popular by participating in various radio shows. He had a high, brilliant voice, which he perhaps abused until he lost it prematurely. He was very popular starring in many theater shows. His film career began in 1953, and he is remembered for films such as "El pescador de coplas" (1953), "Esa voz es una mina" (1955), and "La hija de Juan Simón" (1956). He maintained his popularity for many years by touring with his own musical show. After a few years of retirement, he attempted an unsuccessful come-back in 1986. Molina was the husband of Angela Tejedor and they had 8 children, among them actors and actresses (Ángela Molina, Miguel Molina, Paula Molina, Noel Molina and Mónica Molina). He died in Madrid in 1992. Antonio starred a few but successful films , such as : Puente de coplas (1961) by Santos Alcocer , Café de Chinitas (1958) by Gonzalo Delgras , The Christ of the Lanterns (1958) by Gonzalo Delgras , La Novia de Juan Lucero (1958) by Santos Alcocer , Juan Simón's Daughter (1957) by Gonzalo Delgras , Malagueña (1956) by Ricardo Nuñez , Esa voz es una mina (1955) , The Fisher of Songs (1954) , El macetero (1951) . Support cast is frankly awesome , such as : the great Tony Leblanc , Manuel Monroy , Vicente Parra , José Franco , Arturo Marín , Francisco Bernal , Aníbal Vela , José Prada , Salvador Soler , Manuel Arbó , José Prada and the incombustible Manuel Zarzo who is still working .

It contains a luminous and glimmer cinematography in black and white by Juán Merimé , though mostly shot in Sevilla studios . And also shot on location in El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, Andalucía, Spain . The motion picture written by the notorious Ramón Perelló and Antonio Del Amo himself , based on a story by Esteban Madruga and Ramón Perelló . It was well directed by Antonio Del Amo at his best . By the time Antonio directed a trilogy of realist films as Dia Tras Dia , El Sol Sale Todos Los Dias and Sierra Maldita ; being really influenced by the Mexican Indio Fernandez . Del Amo is specially known for shooting "Joselito" films as Saeta del Ruiseñor, El Ruiseñor de las cumbres, Escucha mi cancion, El Pequeño Coronel , Los dos golfillos and Aventuras de Joselito en America ; though he also directed Spaghetti Western as El hijo de Jesse James and Eurospy as 001 Operacion Caribe . His best film was ¨Sierra Maldita¨that won award Cinema Writers Circle , CEC , to best film , best supporting actor: Jose Guardiola, and best original story and it was also winner best film in San Sebastian Film Festival 1954 and nominee Golden Lion in Venice Film Festival .
