- The lead female character is demonstrably provocative in her posing and coming on to her husband's lawyer and others. But there is no actual sex or nudity onscreen at all.
- However, there is much explicit discussion of a rape.

- The film revolves around a murder which occurred offscreen but was discussed in detail.
- Paul was angry during the court scene and slammed his opponents' table.
- Lt. Manion was teased in jail and he was in a small fight with that man.
