When Karin is trying to draw Frank's attention, we see her unhook her bra (while obscured by bushes), remove half of her two-piece bikini suit, followed shortly by a shot of her bare back. When Jim Larkin covers her up with his shirt, we can see she is wearing the bikini top again. In the context of the plot, she would not have been able to put it back on, and the soldiers certainly would not have. (Though we never see her dropping the bottom, we can assume she did remove it at the same time, without that being presented.)
Frank swims across the river to be with Karin. However, when he is standing by her, his swim trunks are partially wet and partially dry.
The U. S. flag in the courtroom scenes is displayed incorrectly. The union or blue field should be on the observer's left.
The flag's canton has a field of five rows of ten stars, rather than the pattern designated by Executive Order on August 21, 1959, which would certainly have been used for a military trial.
When the two officers are dismissed from the Courts Marshall by challenge by Kirk Douglas's character; as they leave they salute court. Soldiers don't not render hand salutes indoors; to salute indoors is accomplished by coming to attention, and or if carrying a weapon, presenting arms.
At the end of the rape scene, Cpl Scott is third to leave. He stands against the tree while telling Jim Larkin to hurry up, and we see his shadow fall strongly on the tree, away from the river. As Scott walks away, we see his shadow primarily fall on the ground the other way, toward the river, and a slighter shadow falling away from the river, revealing the multiple light sources.
When the neighbor testifies in the court martial that he saw Karin standing naked in her bedroom, he told Major Garrett that he was 50 meters (164 feet) away. Yet, later when he sees her again, the distance from his window to hers appeared to be about 40 feet, at best.
At the near end, when Kirk Douglas is checking out of the hotel, through the double glass doors is clearly visible a 1957 Chevrolet rear 1/4 panel with its fluted aluminum trim.
Camera change to the exterior of the hotel, Kirk Douglas exits and walks around to the drivers side of a 1956 Chevrolet which he drives away in.
When Maj. Garrett is first interviewing Cpl. Scott, as Garrett is walking back towards Scott, a moving shadow of the boom microphone is visible upper left of the frame.
