McKimson would later direct the Daffy Duck and Speedy Gonzales shorts from 1965 until 1967 in the DePatie-Freleng era, and later returned in 1968 to work on the shorts by Warner Bros./Seven Arts animation until 1969, the very last Golden Age Looney Tunes cartoon, Injun Trouble (1969) was released when the animation studio closed when Warner Bros. was brought out by The Kinney National Company (later renamed as Warner Communications, Inc.) in the following year.
