This short was made at a time that all things Latin were popular: Man of La Mancha, Herb Alpert, Yago Sant'gria, and the newly rediscovered avocado.
Among the names displayed are Tecate (a popular Mexican beer) and Calexi & Co., a play on the border town of Calexico.
William Lava did a great job on the soundtrack, which was full of Latin-inspired music as well as Pinky's familiar theme song.
The opening credits show a very Man of la Mancha-esque silhouette of a bull and a matador.
