Terror spoof including lots of hilarious sketches , jokes , entertainment and amusement
ma-cortes23 February 2023
This horror parody contains an unstopped string of gags and silly set pieces from the start to finish with some lively touches . Fun , hilarious and surrealist comedy by the famous and popular Spanish duo , José Luis López Vázquez and Gracita Morales , along with the always great Fernando Fernán Gómez as a Baron avid blood drinkers. They're well accompanied by a good cast of familar secondaries , such as : Trini Alonso , Goyo Lebrero , José Orjas , Adriano Domínguez , Manuel Arbó , Claudia Gravy, Carmen Porcel , Rafael Hernández, among others . Rightly enjoyable but middling and fun-filled , milestone comedy which neatly combines social habits , humor , mirth , entertaining events and mayhem . Stars Pablo (José Luis López Vázquez) and Luisita (Gracita Morales) , a young married couple, work in Madrid's subway. Their schedules do not allow them to see each other, so they go to Germany in search of another job. In a year of marriage they have hardly ever slept together because of so much work at the Madrid Metro. This leads them to travel to Germany and get a job that introduces them to a unique setting of gothic horror. The only one they manage to find is as servants in the castle of the sinister Baron Rossenthal (Fernando Fernán Gómez) . After a few days of acclimatization, the Baron believes that the time has come to suck the blood of the Spanish marriage . However, things go wrong when the sister's (Trini Alonso) Baron shows up and the cook Luisita makes a delicious soup of garlic resulting in fateful consequences for the Dracula-alike .

This is a slightly funny film with funny as well as bewildering events , giggles , craziness , twists and lots of fun . This bemusing movie is packed with crazy humor , tongue-in-cheek , slapdash and slapstick , a steady stream of gags , lively situations abound , sheer belly laughs , too much amusing and to be perfect for the public . Vampiric comedy by Pedro Lazaga in his usual style , in addition imitating with sympathy enough the clichés around the bloodsucking procedures of a Dracula lookalike, addresses emigration as a way to improve life, ironizes with social rites about the "European standard of living" in similar style to " Vente a Alemania , Pepe" and caricaturizes the urban work stress, which makes the life of the citizens revolve around their works, detaching from the personal and family life. The film moves in fits and starts most of which would be desirable , with some moments frankly hilarious and others ridiculous and embarrassing . The story is set in a decent way with rainy and night environments in an isolated mansion with adequate production design located in castle of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Madrid, and Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Germany , including spacious rooms, a pipe organ adorned with paintings of skeletons, creaking doors , sounds of theremin and parodic-absurd features . Humor is sometimes cheesy and gross-out with some disconcerting , embarrassing and picaresque situations . As the outlandish vicissitudes of the starring are so repetitive and the most part results to be rich in absurdities and implausibilities . Un vampiro para dos (1965) follows the wake from classic parody or spoof films , in Budd Abbot and Lou Costello Hollywood wake , such as : "Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein" or "Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" , and subsequently ¨The Fearless Vampire Killers¨ (1967) by Roman Polanski ¨Dracula: Dead and Loving It¨ (1995) by Mel Brooks or ¨Love at First Bite¨ (1979) by Stan Dragoti . And anticipating further successes in this subgenre with Spanish actors as Andrés Pajares , Chiquito de la Calzada or Martes y Trece in films as "Brácula: Condemor II" , "Brujas magicas" , "El Liguero Mágico" or "Aquí huele a muerto... (¡pues yo no he sido!)" .

The motion picture was regular but amusingly directed by Pedro Lazaga . Craftsman Pedro was born in Valls , Tarragona , Catalonia , and died on November 30, 1979 in Madrid . He was a prolific director and writer , specially known for Los Chicos del Preu (1967), María Morena (1951), Cuerda De Presos (1956) and Posición Avanzada (1966). Pedro was an artisan , a notorious director and writer who directed all kind of genres such as Peplum : Siete Espartanos , Wartime : Cuerda De Presos , Posicion Avanzada , Torrepartida , La Patrulla ; Drama : Rostro De Asesino , Otro Arbol De Guernica , but especially known for comedies in low budget . Director Pedro Lazaga made , during the fifties and early sixties , eight films , mostly comedies : ¨Muchachas De Azul¨, Ana Dice Si¨. ¨Luna De Verano¨, ¨Económicamente Debiles¨ , ¨Trio Damas¨ for screenwriter and producer Jose Luis Dibildos and his ¨Agata Films Productions¨. The best of all them resulted to be ¨Los Tramposos¨. He continued making comedies such as Patrulla De Los Once , Los Tramposos , Sabian Demasiado , El Vikingo , ¡No Firmes Más Letras, Cielo! , Vente a Ligar Al Oeste , Hasta El Matrimonio Nos Separe , La Amante Perfecta , Fulanita y Sus Menganos , Vota a Gundisalvo , Terapia Al Desnudo , Tres Suecas Para Tres Rodríguez , Yo soy Fulana de Tal , 5 Almohadas Para Una Noche , En La Cresta De la Ola and several others . His most known films were with the popular comic player Paco Martinez Soria , such as : Abuelo Made in Spain , Padre De La Criatura , Alegre Divorciado , Estoy Hecho Un Chaval , Vaya Par Gemelos , among others .
