- Patriotic freedom fighters struggle against a fascist dictatorship in a near-future USA.
- Near-future freedom fighters battle Nazism, which has developed in the US rather than 1930's Germany. A look at an alternate history, with interesting social implications.—Peter Maranci <pmaranci@tiac.net>
- In an alternate timeline, the United States are governed by a fascist dictatorship in place since the 1920s. Constitutional rights have been eliminated and the military and secret police rule. An underground resistance movement, known as the Society of Man, endeavors to upset the ruling government by whatever guerrilla means it can. A few high-ranking members of the government are actually undercover operatives of the resistance. Among them is Lt. Col. Andy Davis. Davis is captured just as he is about to deliver secret information about a government plan to further tighten restrictions of freedoms. Society of Man operatives, however, break Col. Davis out of the concentration camp in which he's held, and Internal Security Forces officer Major Shepherd McCloud is charged with recapturing Davis. But McCloud himself is an undercover resistance fighter, and he sets out to find Col. Davis first and learn just what the government's nefarious plan is.—Jim Beaver <jumblejim@prodigy.net>
