- During the opening credits what appears to be a montage of torn photos of arms, legs and torsos of nude women flashes quickly.
- A group of people attend a fair or circus sideshow which shows (supposedly) wax figures of people who have been murdered. A couple of women figures have torn clothes with breasts exposed.
- Also in the side show a topless woman is sitting in a wooden tub as a fully clothed man washes her back. The man and women act as if they are mechanical.
- The main character visits an art gallery where he views artistic photos and paintings of nude women
- The main character stares at a cleaning woman's rear as she is cleaning the floor. He reaches out to touch her and she reacts angrily
- The main character visits a brothel. Several women, some fully clothed and some in nighties smile at him seductively in the main lobby.
- At a large formal cocktail party, two men have a conversation. In the background several people can be seen laughing, dancing and kissing. A man is shown putting the back of his hand on a woman's breasts outside of her dress. She moves his hand away. Two men are seen laughing and pulling the top of a woman's strapless dress down revealing her bra as she laughs and pretends to slap at them.
- At the same party a woman quickly flashes her breasts. A man fondles another woman's breasts through her dress as she stares off in a disinterested manner. There is also a close up camera shot of a man's fingers caressing a woman's cleavage above the top of her dress. A another man sneaks up behind a woman and grabs her breasts through her dress. The woman laughs and the two of them run out of camera frame. These are all shown as a rapid montage.
- The main character looks quickly at several polaroid photos of nude women.(prostitutes?)
- The main character and another man are in a brothel. They are talking in a hallway while a prostitute topless with garter and panties is reflected in a mirror as she adjusts the bed covers and pillows. Another prostitute is seen in the room across the hall wearing panties and bra. Very brief scene.
Violence & Gore

- Several people are seen in a fair or circus wax museum type show they are supposed to be murder victims. some of them have knives sticking out of their bodies and one man is hanging by a rope. The film is shot in black and white so the scene is not very gory.
- A girl is briefly shown with the skin on half of her face missing.
- There are several exhibits of deformities in large jars as part of a side show act. The scene is darkly lit. Hard to see anything really. Presumed to be fake
Profanity

- The film's language is Czechoslovakian subtitled in English. There is no real profanity However the film takes place at the beginning of WW2 and several of the characters make comments which some may find anti-Semitic.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Several people smoke throughout the film.
- There are mealtime scenes where people drink wine.
- There is a large formal party where a lot of people are drinking. Several people are shown intoxicated stumbling around holding half empty bottles of champagne. People are shown holding bottles while another person drinks.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The main character's profession is that of crematorium owner. There are several scenes showing the process of caskets being pushed into the furnace and burned. There are a few scenes showing bodies in caskets during the service and before cremation.
Spoilers
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The main character hangs his wife to "Free her soul". Amazingly she lets him do this without word or complaint.
- The main character takes his son to the crematorium and kills him by hitting him on the head with a large metal rod. Given the context of the rest of the film You can see why this happened but it is still unexpected and shocking.
- The main character tries to kill his daughter in the same manner as his son However, she pleads with him and finally escapes. The scene is nonetheless rather intense.
