Sex & Nudity

  • In one scene in Malle's film, Bardot's character is bare breasted and strapped on to a examining table, you can only see her breasts from different angles but the rest of her body is covered by either shadows or people.

Violence & Gore

  • In Malle's film there are a few scenes where the main character is stabbed, blood shown.
  • In Fellini's film, the main character loses his head by driving in to an area that has a metal wire, we don't see it happen but we get to see his head quickly lying on the floor and a close up of the blood on the wire.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some of the deaths, behaviour and looks of the characters in Malle and Fellini's films can disturb younger viewers.
