A Paco Martinez show providing an enjoyable and awesome performance as a friendly but stubborn elderly man with principles that do not change for anything. It begins with the marriage of Rodrigo Quesada (an always energic and symphatetic Paco Martinez Soria) and Luisa (Mari Carmen Prendes) going to the funeral of her father . They stop for gasoline and the gas station operator does not want to accept a thousand pesetas bill saying that he has no change. At first Paco decides to see if someone will give him change but when he cannot find it he returns . The gas station operator still does not want to change it and Paco tells him that according to the decree law of March 18, 1952 , he should have it . As a result , a brawl is mounted that lasts in time and the poor woman cannot bury her father . Later on , we find out that they have a daughter named Marisa (Josele Román), who due to her lack of love she wanst to be a nun , but is really in love with her neighbor Valentín (José Sacristán), a young lawyer eager to have her first lawsuit. And at this moment is when the situation that triggers everything arrives. Paco Martínez Soria who's hard to update himself to the modern times , goes to the bank and a robbery occurs the moment they give him the change, taking his 257 pesetas. At the end of everything, he demands the money from him but the cashier does not do it and he sets up another good one. These situations are seen by a journalist (Jose Rubio) who gets everything on the cover of the newspaper. When the press echoes, the thing takes another turn, there is a confrontation with the Bank Universal that sometimes wants to return the money and sometimes not, due to the stubbornness of Briceño (Tomás Blanco), the bank's director asks for orders from the French General Director (Santiago Rivero) .

An amusing and funny comedy with the great Paco Martinez Soria , containing good feeling , emotion, hilarious set-pieces , fine interpretations , laughters , amusement and entertainment . With an introduction of simple humor that defines the stubborn character of the plot , this film written and directed by José Luis Sáenz de Heredia , which is narrated in flashback by a journalist played by Pepe Rubio . Paco Martínez Soria in ¨Don erre que erre¨ apart from more or less funny parody situations centered on the obstinate man in his deep conviction , as he's a businessman who owns a glass workshop and eagerly desires to have a child to inherit his ownerships ; equally , he's is a tenacious man who struggles to recover the 257 pesetas that the bank owes him after the theft where he went to collect such an amount. It is not that the protagonist is a curmudgeon, he is a big head that what he wants is to do the right thing even if it affects him negatively . The film has an almost Frank Capra spirit with an individual facing the "System" in a fight between David and Goliath that means the search for social justice, strict compliance with the law and respect for the rights of the consumer-client. The story is underlined too much but that also serves to incisively portray its starring , showing his stubbornness at a gas station without changing large bills as well as at at bank robbery . It develops an attractive and really agreeable relationship between our starring , his family and the egoistic bankers . This good-natured actor Paco Martínez Soria gives a charming and sympathetic acting . As he delivers an authentic recital and steals completely the show. Paco is well accompanied by a good support cast with full of familiar faces , such as : Tomás Blanco, Guillermo Marín, Valeriano Andrés, Alfonso del Real , Manuel Alexandre , Jesús Guzmán, José María Escuer, Rafael Hernández , Alberto Fernández , Pepe Rubio , Félix Dafauce, José María Tasso , Carmen Porcel , Carmen Cervera and Xan das Bolas.

This joyful and fun picture was professionally written and directed by Jose Luis Saenz De Heredia . He was a prolific and famous writer and filmmaker who made a lot of movies during the Francist period . As he directed the polemic Raza written by Francisco Franco himself , El Destino se Disculpa , Bambú, Mariona Rebull , Las Aguas bajan negras , La Mies es Mucha , Faustina, Diez Fusiles Esperan, Don Juan . And several Spanish comedies as Historias de la Radio, La Verbena de la Paloma , El Taxi de los Conflictos , Juicio De Faldas , Pero en que país Vivimos , La Decente , Solo ante el Streaking and Se Armo el Belén again with Paco Martinez Soria. Rating 6/10 . Acceptable and passable comedy . The film will appeal to Paco Martinez Soria and Spanish comedy enthusiasts .
