Sex & Nudity

  • A man looks at an adult magazine. For a few seconds a page is visible of a woman in various poses with her breasts exposed.
  • A woman is shown in a slip.

Violence & Gore

  • A family is murdered. All of the violence takes place completely offscreen, but their dead bodies become the focal point of various scenes. A couple of the bodies have blood on the face. One body lies in a bathtub full of blood and water. Shirtfronts are soaked in bright red blood, the bodies lie in pools of blood, but wounds are indiscernible.
  • A woman steps on glass, and pulls a bloody shard from her bare foot.
  • The heroine takes a few traumatic falls, one of which knocks her unconscious for a time.
  • A character is slapped hard across the face.

Profanity

  • A derogatory term for gypsies is used several times. Three uses of 'Bloody' one use of "Damn" and one insulting hand gesture.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Various bottles (port, whiskey, etc) are shown on a liquor cabinet as a family share a casual drink in the evening. A couple drink a champagne toast. One scene takes place in a bar and the camerawork emphasizes the various glasses of alcohol in the patrons' hands.
  • A man lights a cigarette.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Suspense and frightening moments come from the audience being able to see the dead bodies and the killer, while the blind heroine is still unaware of the danger.
  • The heroine is chased by the killer, who attempts to murder her. The killer holds her underwater, and she thrashes around in a panic as she chokes on the water.
