Plot Summary

Fernando, an old Republican exiled, returns to the imaginary town of Trescabañas after 35 years of absence. Aurora, the attractive young school teacher of the small town, is rejected by the bigoted neighbors, who see a "dangerous" source of corruption of their students in her methods. Juan, her intelligent student of thirteen, takes refuge in the imaginary world of his adolescent fantasies to escape reality. The film tells the impossible love between Fernando, Aurora and Juan. Trivia This is, officially, the film with the first discovered chest of a woman at Spanish cinema. However, after its premiere in June at the Berlin Festival, it is not distributed in Spain until November 1974. Therefore, at least, it would be 'La Loba and La Paloma' with Carmen Sevilla of September 9, 1974 the first partial nude in Spain. See more »
