After playing a few reunion shows last year, Porno for Pyros recently announced a 2024 North American farewell tour.
And while a press release announcing the tour revealed that original members Perry Farrell (vocals), Peter Distefano (guitar), and Stephen Perkins (drums) would be taking part, a bassist was unconfirmed.
That led us to wonder: Would it be original bassist Martyn LeNoble or latter-era bassist Mike Watt? Or someone else altogether?
So, when Heavy Consequence caught up with Farrell recently to discuss the band’s upcoming EP and farewell tour (tickets available here), the singer gave us the scoop on who will be playing bass on the 2024 outing, albeit a bit cryptically at first.
“Martyn LeNoble is a wonderful guy – he loves the outdoors, he loves to track animals out in the wild,” began Farrell. “He really is a naturalist. By the time we got the tour together, Martyn was heading out to the forests.

"Alright puppies, playtime's over!" Paramount has debuted the first official trailer for the animated sequel Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, once again directed by animation filmmaker Cal Brunker. Meet the "Mighty Pups" in this amusing new Super trailer for Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie. Of course, the villain wants to steal their powers. The eccentric voice cast includes Mckenna Grace, Taraji P. Gizmo. Predator. Slimer. Dustin from “Stranger Things.” These are just a few popular characters that have been turned into official Chia Pets in recent years, and more are coming soon.
This Halloween season, Neca will be turning Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams from Netflix series “Wednesday” and Ghostface from Scream into Chia Pets!
The handmade decorative planters promise full growth in 1-2 weeks, with the “Wednesday” Chia Pet depicting Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams looking down at a spooky black and green plant. The Ghostface planter is particularly interesting, as the plant you grow atop his head is intended to form his iconic black hood – it looks more like a Bob Ross hairdo, however.
Thing from the “Wednesday” series gets his own Chia Pet as well, seen below.

Sony’s Bullet Train was the global and international box office leader for the studios during its sophomore frame with an added 17M from 61 overseas markets for an offshore cume of 60M and global riding the rails past 100M for 114.5M through Sunday.
The international holdover markets dropped 40; word of mouth is good and there’s track ahead for the Brad Pitt-starrer as Korea, Italy and Japan are still to come. Korea’s Yonhap news agency this week dedicated a story to the fact that Pitt is due to visit the market for the first time in eight years, reportedly jetting in to promote the film later this week.
France was the lead market on BT this weekend with 1.7M (though locally Toei’s One Piece Film: Red caused a ruckus with what we hear was a No. 1 start at 3.34M). The French cume on BT is 5.8M. The UK is currently at 6M.

There are plenty of former child actors that you can take a look at and realize that even if you don’t see them much they’re still doing pretty well. Danny Pintauro is somewhere in the middle between doing well and flat broke on his butt even though he’s not doing horrible. Chicago – As a pet owner, I know firsthand that I want an exciting life for my guinea pigs. When I’m off at work, I’d like to think that they throw parties or have some sort of hangouts with other guinea pigs or pets in the area. The alternative being the sad realization that they are stuck in their cage while I’m away, probably bored out of their little minds. “The Secret Life of Pets” franchise continues to brings the fantasy to life, even if the sequel feels too tame.

The X-Men are hoping that even after “Avengers: Endgame” steamrolled the box office in April, comic-book fever is alive and well when “Dark Phoenix” opens this weekend. But some furry friends could prevent the band of mutant superheroes from claiming victory in North America.

The U.K. is the top European market with $8.4 million ahead of openings of both “Rocketman” and “The Secret Life of Pets 2,” which both debuted ahead of their Us launches. The “Pets” sequel opened with $4.1 million.
Italy generated $6.6 million for “Aladdin” in its second highest opening weekend to date in 2019, behind only “Avengers: Endgame” with a 52% market share. “Aladdin” also posted the second highest opening weekend to date in 2019 in Spain, 37% ahead...

There are, somehow, three entire plotlines that drive Chris Renaud’s fizzy, frequently silly “The Secret Life of Pets 2,” a worthy if slightly less delightful sequel to the director’s 2016 animated hit. First, there’s the life-lesson-heavy story that centers around ostensible franchise star Max as he deals with crippling anxiety after a major life change. Then, there’s the wacky tale of Max’s love interest (go with it), bubbly Pomeranian Gidget (Jenny Slate), tasked with caring for Max’s cherished toy while he embarks on a trip, only to lose it in a terrifying apartment filled with cats.
So far, so cute, but there’s the third story: Bonzo bunny Snowball (Kevin Hart), believing he is an actual superhero, joins forces with newbie Shih Tzu Daisy (Tiffany Haddish) to save an abused white tiger cub from a very, very evil circus. For a franchise that’s literally...

Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that it will open a theme park ride based on “The Secret Life of Pets” next year.
The news about the upcoming ride, titled “The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash!,” came on Wednesday, two months before the sequel opens on June 7. It will be located adjacent to the “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” attraction.
The ride will take theme park customers in vehicles through recreations of New York City streets toward a pet adoption event. Like the 2016 animated hit, the ride will explore what pets do when their owners aren’t home.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring another exciting Illumination movie-based ride to our guests,” said Karen Irwin, president and chief operating officer of Universal Studios Hollywood, in a statement. “’The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash!’ will capture the essence of the popular film and invite our guests to...

"Home stay home." Universal has debuted a new TV spot to promote the Olympics featuring footage from the new animated version of The Grinch. We still haven't seen an actual trailer for this movie yet, so this is our first look and it's a fun 30-second spot showing off the furry green character. This version of Dr. Seuss' The Grinch is being made by Illumination Entertainment (of Despicable Me, Minions, Pets, The Lorax) and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of Christmas meanie The Grinch. No other official voice cast has been revealed yet. The footage is all themed specifically for the Olympics and likely won't show up in the actual movie, but at least it's something to start with for now. I'm also not sure why the teaser poster shows a very young Grinch - perhaps we'll see his origin story in this, too? We'll have to wait to find out.

Directors Joe Dante (1984’s Gremlins) and Allan Arkush (1979’s Rock ‘n’ Roll High School) cut their teeth in Hollywood putting together trailers for Roger Corman films in the early 1970s and got the idea to make their own film by piecing together stock footage from other Corman pics and shooting a story around the clips. Armed with $55,000 from Mr. Corman, Hollywood Boulevard is the result. Released in 1976 on a smattering of screens, Hollywood Boulevard is a charming and entertaining send-up of Hollywood filmmaking which stars the incomparable (and sadly, the late) Candice Rialson as Candy Wednesday, a fresh-off-the-bus naïve blonde who, at the ripe old age of twenty-four, wants to be an actress and walks straight into the office of agent Walter Paisley (Dick Miller). His advice to just go out and walk the streets and be seen is taken quite literally, and she finds herself suckered...

This is Fate, played by Seeska Vanderberg (Bitter Heritage). The guys take her back to the farm to nurse her back to health until they are ambushed and kidnapped by a commune of foxy female cultists (That’S the American Dream right there right!

.Not available on DVD. column since it began nine months ago and I realize that 19 of the previous 24 films I.ve written about are from the decade of the 1970.s. It.s not that there aren.t worthy forgotten films of the 50.s, 60.s or 80.s that have yet to see life in digital format, it.s just that, being born in 1961, it was the .70.s when I came of age and I.ve always had a fixation with the many films I saw at the drive-in in the last half of that decade. Besides, only from the politically incorrect .70.s could have come a disco musical comedy about a woman with a talking vagina.
Chatterbox, made in 1977, is no porn film (though bare breasts abound), but a silly R-Rated comedy based on a ridiculous but titillating situation that today doesn.t seem at all sleazy or dirty but really funny and kind of innocent.
