• Continuity: The damage on the various cars isn't consistent in the film chronology. Most obvious is the scene in which the green Mustang and black Charger are playing demolition derby in the construction site - compare the condition of the Dodge at the end of the battle to when it flies off the overpass.
  
  
• Continuity: In the pile-up on the freeway, the same yellow Cadillac hits the pile twice.
  
  
• Continuity: In the sequence where the girls in the van give the black guy in the Lincoln a spray of the fire extinguisher, the road they are on changes from a two-lane road to a four-lane highway between shots.
  
  

• Continuity: When Mrs. Schulenberg and her two daughters take a bottle of champagne to Mr. Schulenberg before the race, he is not wearing any glasses. However, when she speaks to him he suddenly is wearing a pair of sunglasses. The sunglasses disappear again at the end of the scene.
