3.3 Zari
Here's the problem with Legends Of Tomorrow: when your premise is this packed with ridiculousness, your margin for error is pretty slim. The show has been incredibly strong for the better part of two seasons, but it's still fundamentally a show about a group of goofball time travellers played as an action comedy, and that road is full of pitfalls. Time travel is fundamentally terrible. Comedy is really hard. And stuffing dialogue into both of those themes, even separately, has the potential to be wooden, stilted, too infodumpy or just lazy.
Legends has certainly had some of these problems from time to time,...

Preacher: The End of the Road Review AMC‘s Preacher, Season 2, Episode 13: ‘The End of the Road,’ was miles away from where the season started; but not necessarily in the right direction. Jesse Custer, even before he was given the gift/curse of Genesis, lived in a world full of magic. Witness, for example, how The End Of The Road opens. Jesse is part errand boy, part living road sign, and part grifter, bringing in folks, making sure to take their money so they can park, and weeding out undercover cops when he's not posing for pictures and lifting wallets from tourists. Jesse's grifting started early, and his fighting started early, too.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Preacher” Season 2, Episode 13, “The End of the Road.”]
Well, any season of television that had an out-of-work actor getting shot for answering the wrong casting call or an angel begging to be released from an immortal coil or an oppressive montage of a teenager shooting off half her head in a tragic suicide attempt was not going to have a happy ending. Though “Preacher” Season 2 did have its share of tiny moments of levity amidst the heavy considerations of the nature of God, this was always going to be season where the easiest answer would be that there are never any satisfying easy answers.
With “The End of the Road,” “Preacher” offers up a mixed-bag ending, not so much a definitive stamp on a season as a continuation of its by-design muddiness. A whole batch of episodes spent pondering the nature and whereabouts of God was destined for an untidy resolution, if one ever came at all. Instead,...

Leave it to Preacher, one of the topsy-turviest shows on TV, to deliver a finale for Season 2 that, at turns, left us going, “Huh?” “Wait, what?” “Holy s—!” “Is this really happening?” “Whew!” “No, no, no, no, no!” and, finally, “Oooh.” Is your head still spinning? While the dizziness dissipates, let’s review the big twists served up by “The End of the Road,” then, once if you’ve regained your equilibrium, you can grade the episode and hit the comments with your review.

So this was frustrating. “The End Of The Road” opens with a strong flashback to Jesse’s days outside Angelville; the teenage Custer working as a low-fi parking lot attendant and pickpocket. The end of the road is indeed in sight for Game of Thrones. HBO on Monday released details of the upcoming seventh season, including an episode count and filming locations. Season seven will consist of seven episodes, down from its standard 10. The series will launch in summer 2017 — a delay from its typical March/April frame. The summer premiere means that Game of Thrones' seventh season will not be eligible for the 2017 Emmys. That news comes just days after the fantasy saga scored a leading 23 nominations — marking the third year in a row the reigning Emmy drama

Singer Discusses His 'X-men' Future, Takes Veiled Jab At Zack Snyder, And Talks The Genre As A Whole
Director Bryan Singer has now made four X-men films, dating back to the year 2000. With X-men: Apocalypse he told his biggest, most large-scale story featuring Marvel's iconic mutants yet. By all accounts, though, Apocalypse may be Singer's last ride with Xavier and company- at least for now. In a chat with the La Times, Singer opened up a bit about the comic book genre, how social media has affected his filmmaking process, and his X-men future.
Let's start off with the big question, then work our way around to the other topics covered. That question is: Is X-men: Apocalypse The End Of The Road For Him With The Franchise?
"For me, this is not only the finale of the trilogy that started with "X-Men: First Class," it’s the finale of six movies. But I also call it an 'in-betwee-quel' -- not a sequel or a prequel -- because it...

The end of the road may be in sight for Showtime's Episodes. The end of the road is in sight for HBO's Girls. Sources confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the Lena Dunham-Judd Apatow comedy will end its run after season six. HBO declined comment. The news, first reported by E! Online, comes as the awards season darling is heading into its previously announced fifth season; a sixth cycle of the series has not yet been announced. The end of the road. The scripts that should be studied, dissected, and taught for their quality, their timeliness, and their impact on the film industry as a whole. Some were perfect for their time and place. Some were ahead of their time. Some defined their generation. And one still rules all, forty years after it was written.

X Factor stars Kingsland Road have spoken about their sing-off with Tamera Foster.
Singer Jay, who has been romantically linked with Tamera, said how emotional the experience was.
> 'X Factor' Disco Week review: The end of the road for Kingsland
He told Digital Spy: "It was hard. I think for me, other than Rough Copy, that was the worst person I would have had to sing off against.
"We had a good little cry together. Tamera was like, 'Come on', and we went into the corridor for like 10, 15 minutes. We had a little cry together, said our farewells."
When asked if the pair would have a future after the show, Jay added: "Maybe, maybe. Hopefully we stay close. If nothing [romantic] happens, we'll probably stay close. Who knows, let's see what happens."
With the Flash Vote taking a break during the weekend's instalments, the judges could have taken their decision to Deadlock.

"Teen Mom 2" ended its fourth and potentially final season with a finale that was ultimately uplifting. Even Jenelle Evans was optimistic about her future when "The End of the Road" concluded, though we know from recent events that her optimism was all for naught.
Still, things were looking good for the other three Teen Moms -- Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer-Calvert and Chelsea Houska -- as Season 4 came to a close. Here's what happened in the finale:
Jenelle Evans
Jenelle is the "Teen Mom 2" star who has made it into the headlines most frequently, and life has gotten much worse for her since the Season 4 finale was filmed. She was recently arrested for heroin possession and assault and kicked out of the home of the mother of her husband, Courtland Rogers, as a result. Sooner or later, every musical act ends up in Las Vegas. Now, like Frank Sinatra and Celine Dion and so many more, R&B group Boyz II Men will headline at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
The group announced the new show on Thursday (Jan. 3). The singers will perform two shows each weekend at the Terry Fator Theater, starting on March 1, 2013 and running for a total of 78 performances. Organizers of the new show have only hinted at the content: Boyz II Men's 1991 hit, "Motownphilly," will definitely be a part of the act, but other aspects will be a surprise.
With 60 million records, Boyz II Men counts as the best-selling R&B group of all time. Its members -- Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman (the fourth member, bass singer Michael McCary, left the group in 2003 for health reasons) -- leapt to fame with 1991's hit album, "Cooleyhighharmony." I'm not one to gloat or say such things as "I told you so," but I must take this moment to run a victory lap. I had many of naysayers, but in the end, my non-scientific way of collecting data (i.e. my gut instinct) predicted a Cassadee Pope win weeks ago! I mean, I respect Terry McDermott and Nicholas David as much as the next person, but this show was Cassadee's to win. Here were my favorite performances from the finale week:
The Voice Cast, Hallelujah
In wake of the devastating massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary, the entire Voice cast (Christina Milian and Carson Daly included) sang a moving tribute. Standing behind a row of candles, each cast member held a placard with the name and age of each victim. It was emotional, haunting and beautiful.

When "Mad Men" creator Matt Weiner teased that this season would be "every man for himself," even the most creative fans couldn't have imagined some of the shocking twists and turns we've seen.
The latest? The end of the road for one of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce's partners, Lane Pryce, played to tragic perfection by Jared Harris. Lane has been in free fall mode all season -- mercilessly phone-flirting with a stranger, fighting Pete in the office, kissing (and continuing to sexually harass) Joan and, the pièce de résistance, forging Don Draper's name on a company check to "temporarily" bonus himself out of his financial dire straits.
This all ultimately led Lane getting fired by Don, who promised to repay Lane's debts, but insisted he "think of an elegant exit" from the company he helped build because he could no longer be trusted. Lane's bumpy road at attempted suicide (of course the Jaguar wouldn't start!

In a first of the season, this week’s results show of American Idol was actually very captivating. From the top 11′s Ford commercial and special musical guests right down to the elimination… everything about the results show was entertaining and more than reassuring. A few weeks into the live shows have gone by and America has made it clear which contestants they are behind. While we can never predict when the jaw dropping moment will actually happen, that moment when we’re all blind sighted and the Pia Toscano of the season will get the boot… so far, all is well. No complaints here. Our top ten has been chosen. Looking back on all of the hopefuls who have been eliminated so far this season, the judges and America really did a wonderful job choosing the finalists. Who else is looking for to the summer tour?

There were a couple brave souls on " The X Factor " last night -- who took on songs very close to judge L.A. Reid 's heart. 14-year-old Drew Ryniewicz was first to accept the challenge, doing Justin Bieber 's " Baby " for her audition number. Her stripped down, soulful version of the song was absolutely incredible -- and the judges were loving it. "I prefer your version to his [Justin's]," Nicole Scherzinger said, before Simon Cowell echoed her comments, saying "So do I." L.A. Reid, who produced Bieber's " My World 2.0 " album, ate it up too -- telling her "You really made it yours, it was soulful and believable and you are special." Drew wasn't the only one singing from the Reid songbook though, as the group 4Shore performed Boyz II Men 's " The End of the Road ," which L.A. actually wrote. They nailed it too -- and got a standing ovation for Reid himself,...

Shoedog is an action thriller which is currently under production from Force of Nature Filmworks and Shoedog has an all star cast. To show in this film of treachery are Heather Graham (The Hangover), Kris Kristofferson (Blade), Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs (Get Him to the Greek) and literature icon Sam Shephard (The Assassination of Jesse James). All of these actors will participate in a tale of friendship that takes place on the streets. Here, hard times and desperation bring characters Constantine and Randolph together on a criminal undertaking that will test their will and their ability to stay alive.
This film is expected to complete in late 2012, with a release date likely just after that. As well, a new poster is available for the film which shows a muscle car and lots of blood reds. The tagline offers more tension with "the end of the road meant getting even.

Jane's Take Episode : "The End of the Road" by Ryan Scott and Jane Espenson
Spoilers Ahead!
This is the eighth episode out of ten of Torchwood: Miracle Day and the information dominoes are tumbling and the pace is getting fast and Star Trek actors are just everywhere! So let's go on this ride! As usual, I'm typing up these thoughts as I watch, so this is a bit random. I'm going for a DVD commentary kind of vibe.
First off, this episode was written in layers, which isn't an unusual way for things to happen. Ryan Scott wrote the first few drafts, then I did a rewrite, and then Russell T Davies did an uncredited rewrite of that, which is part of what show runners typically do, so there are pieces of all three of us in the final product.

Laura Marling has announced that her third studio album will be titled A Creature I Don't Know. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter confirmed that she will release the record on September 12, following a summer of previewing the new material at festivals including Glastonbury, Green Man and The End Of The Road. Marling told fans in an email: "The band and I finished it a month or so ago, under the watchful eye of our old pal Ej. "We are very much looking forward to getting out to play again and hope to see you all down the line." A Creature I Don't (more)...

Stefano Langone sang his heart out to be a finalist on "American Idol"; however, number seven did not prove to be so lucky for him. Last Thursday, Stefano's rendition of "Closer" resulted in him getting farther from the "Idol" title. A few days after his elimination, Stefano stopped by the MTV News studio to answer some hard-hitting questions (and by hard hitting, we mean completely ludicrous).
Stefano may not have a record deal like recent castoff Pia Toscano is rumored to have, but that doesn't mean he's going to stop trying to win over the hearts of America. He revealed to our own Jim Cantiello that his debut album would be named Right Path, and we can't help but root for Stefano to find that path and make it his own. After all, his favorite show on TV right now is "Survivor...

So that’s it: Last night marked “The End of the Road” for poor Stefano Langone, the season 10 wildcard whose charm and ambition helped him outlast the likes of Pia Toscano and Paul McDonald. But he sure showed just why he had made it as far as the Top 7 Thursday night with his exit performance of Stevie Wonder’s “Lately.” (A much better choice than Wednesday night’s “Closer.”) Pulling out all the vocal stops, Stefano truly went out with a bang — and a heartfelt, touching embrace from Idol Bff James Durbin. Watch his finale performance embedded after the jump.

Grab your popcorn: After last night’s fairly entertaining Songs from the Cinema night, we’re about to find out who is still in the running to have a happy Idol ending, and whose journey is about to be stamped with a brutal “Fin.” Based on your votes earlier today, you all think Paul McDonald, Haley Reinhart, and Jacob Lusk are headed to the bottom three. I can’t help but think that Stefano will somehow eke his way into the bottom, especially since any Idol contestant who sings a song called “The End of the Road” seems destined for elimination.

Is This The End Of The Road For Maci, Farrah, Amber & Catelynn?
Out with the old, in with the new? MTV is prepping to announce their new Teen Moms — but what will happen to the others?
EW reports, “MTV confirms that a new cast of young mothers will share their hectic lives with cameras in a season set to start airing in January.”
Although there are going to be new faces, MTV hasn’t announced whether or not our beloved original Teen Moms, Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, will be on subsequent seasons…or if they’ve reached the end of the line.
All four girls have shot additional footage that has yet to be used — do You want to see it?

I’ve talked about my love for The Low Anthem here on a few occasions, but I had to share their brand new video for the lovely song, “Charlie Darwin.” It’s done with stop-motion animation from Simon Taffe And Glenn Taunton, part of the design team behind The End of the Road Festival. With the help of a small team of painters, carpenters and handymen, the duo filmed the video at a studio in Sussex. Enjoy....
