- Vixey (the female fox that Tod finds in the forest) notices how many ducklings there. When she says, "I think six would be just right," it seems to imply that she is talking about the number of kids she would like to have, but Tod is confused and has no idea what she is talking about. She then giggles. Other than that none.
Violence & Gore

- There are guns shooting throughout.
- The villian neighbor is constantly angry, yelling, and shooting a gun throughout the movie.
- Tod's (the fox) mother is killed offscreen.
Profanity

- One use of 'land sakes'.
- One use of goodness as a euphemism.
- No actual swear words here, but a badger is very nasty to Tod after the old lady drops him off at the game preserve.
- "Dagnabbit" is a term used by Amos Slade, but it is not at all offensive or profanic.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The gunshot booms in the background during the opening credits can be a little frightening to younger viewers
- In one sequence after Todd jumps off the rock as he faces Copper, both animals make menacing expressions. The front view of their faces (with fangs and visible teeth gums) might intimidate some audiences.
- Tod's and Copper's realistic looking angry expressions in the climax can be considered scary to some viewers.
- Some scenes involving both the hunter Amos Slade and Tod can be frightening to younger viewers.
- The bear fight scene may be a bit too suspenseful for young children.

Violence & Gore
- During the chase involving both Copper and Chief, Chief manages to catch up to Tod and chases him onto the railroad bridge. A train starts to come down the tracks, Tod manages to dodge the train. Chief doesn't see it until the last minute, and it hims knocking him off the bridge into the water. He is later seen with a busted leg and can barely walk.
- Near the end of the movie, Amos and Copper chase Tod and Vixey with Amos shooting at the two foxes several times. The two foxes are able to evade the hunters when a giant bear attacks. Amos falls down a hill and gets his leg stuck in a bear trap. Copper attacks the bear to protect Amos, at one point there is blood on the bear from where Copper bit it. The bear forcefully swats Copper, who lets out a loud yelp. This catches the attention of Tod, who runs back to help his old friend. Tod is able to lure the bear away from Copper and Amos. The bear chases Tod up a cliff and eventually knocks Tod onto a fallen tree that crosses above a water fall. The large bear comes down onto the tree and takes one large swipe at Tod which causes the tree to break, sending the two of them tumbling down the waterfall. The bear is presumably dead, Tod is later seen injured but he survives.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- In one scene, the hunter and copper chase tod and vixie into a burrow. The hunter then forces them out by lighting a fire on one side, and having his gun aimed on the other. While they do manage to escape, this scene can be very intense for young children
- The second half of this film is incredibly sad and emotionally intense. Particularly the scene where the woman has to leave Tod in the forest and the bear attack.
- Widow Tweed is forced to abandon Tod in the forest. This is a very emotional scene. The song "Goodbye May Seem Forever" plays during this scene, and it can make people cry.
- The scene with Chief getting hit by a train and falling in the water may be too scary for kids.
- At the end of the film, Tod and Copper part ways in a very saddening and emotional way.
